Overall Album Evaluation - Miscellaneous Tracks Compilation ?

Hey everyone! 

To evaluate the overall ranking of Britney's miscellaneous tracks i.e, stand alone singles, songs from EPs, collaborations, buzz singles etc, I request you to participate in this poll. Just choose an answer for each category of questions and the final results will be posted once a specific number of members have voted. 

In addition to voting, I request you to also engage in answering the following questions:

Top 3 songs: Do Somethin, Someday (I Will Understand), And Then We Kiss (Junkie XL Remix)

1. Which is your favourite song from the collection? Rate it on a scake of 1 to 5 - Someday, 5/5. One of her best ballads and it's so underrated by the GP.
2. Which song do you think is the worst from the compilation or your least favorite? Rate them on a scale of 1 to 5 - Crazy with Kevin Federline, 1.5/5 for Britney's parts but Kevin's verses are awful. He isn't a very good rapper.
3. Which song do you think is best from a lyrical standpoint? Rate on a scale of 1 to 5 - Someday, 5/5. Britney wrote this song entirely by herself about coming to terms with motherhood, and 2 weeks later she found out she was pregnant. The lyrics are beautiful. 
4. Which is your favourite video from the given choices? Rate it on a scale of 1 to 5 {Only videos released officially counts} - Do Somethin, 4/5. It's a funky video and I always loved Britney's outfit in it.
5. Which is your favourite single/album cover from the given songs? Rate it on a scale of 1 to 5 - Are you asking about the songs in the poll? Cause if so, then I pick Do Somethin, 4.5/5, I love the image. I know it's from the music video but it's a great shot, Britney looks fierce. If you mean the album covers then Greatest Hits: My Prerogative, 3.8 or 4/5, perhaps not the best image, but Britney looks hot.

Do Something was released as a single from My Prerogative, so its cover doesn't count, only the Greatest Hits:My Prerogative cover counts. But some songs like Pretty Girls doesn't belong to any album so the single cover is also an option  Thank you for the review!

Same opinion^ , but my top is still My Prerogative,Mona Lisa and 3 (  ) for Someday i must have sad mood but the song is beautiful! , same for Everytime, now i'm happy after 2 years so i want to keep it like that  , My fav video is My Prerogative, because the intro, it reminds me of stronger when Britney is in car <3

I was so sad when you ran out of albums to do evaluation threads for and I wanted to send you a PM to encourage you to make one for unreleased songs but I didn't really know how that would work considering there's no music videos / artworks / etc. but it seems like you still got more ideas up your sleeve.. I'll get on this ASAP..

Songs I Voted For: My Only Wish, And Then We Kiss, 3. 

Favorite: I wanna say "3" because I love how tongue-in-cheek it is, but "And Then We Kiss" is so hauntingly beautiful, euphoric and mesmerizing. Imma go with "ATWK" for this one - 5/5. 

Worst: Probably "Chaotic", I just don't like it, I don't know. There's nothing interesting about it and the instrumental is really annoying. What can I say, I like "Pretty Girls" way more. 

Fave Video: Probably "3". I love how simple it is, a breath of fresh air after the "Circus" music videos if you will. She looked great, she killed it, yeah, that's about it - 5/5. 

Favorite Cover: "Do Somethin". I like it a lot, that's all - 5/5.

1. Which is your favourite song from the collection? Rate it on a scale of 1 to 5 - Definitely Someday, it’s one of her best ballads. 5/5
2. Which song do you think is the worst from the compilation or your least favorite? Rate them on a scale of 1 to 5 - SMS (Bangerz) 1/5. I just don’t like it. It’s very forgettable in my opinion. I think I’ve only listened to it like twice?
3. Which song do you think is best from a lyrical standpoint? Rate on a scale of 1 to 5 - Someday 5/5

And Then We Kiss (Junkie XL Remix) is, hands down, my absolute favorite. It was the cherry on top missing from In the Zone and owing to B in the Mix, the album is finally complete. It's actually part of In the Zone track list in my iTunes right after the bonus tracks. I've also heard the original version which, in my honest opinion, is not as good as the remix... although some people here prefer the original version. I personally like the remix better due to the guitars and richer soundscape.

It is definitely a full 5/5.

 

Also before people come for Ooh La La - it shall forever remain one of Brinny's most iconic classics. Not only does it mark the reappearance of BraveNewGirlney 10 years after the timeless smash hit that is Brave New Girl was born, but it also features Momney in the music video and I will always be here for Brinny serving Momney,

Honestly, most of the compilation songs are very solid! But it wouldn't be Miss American Dream since she was 17 if there weren't some really atrocious songs, let's start with the obvious choice:

Kevin Federline - Crazy     

Awkward, cringeworthy, painful to listen to - 1/5
Hopefully Brinny learned that it's not a good idea to share the studio with her boyfriends.

Over to You Now - 1.5/5

I actually like the place Brinny's taking us on the track up until about 18 seconds when that weird exploding sound starts and my ears literally start bleeding. The song is giving me drunk in Vegas with all the slot machines broken or out of order realness. Sometimes I wonder what goes through her head when she decides to record something like this....... song.

Pretty Girls - 2/5

This is a guilty pleasure of mine, and if the song didn't sound like a cheap Fancy rehash and if it featured a different rapper AND if the music video was less Disney and had none of the cheesy dialogue in it I actually would've liked it 

   

 

3. Which song do you think is best from a lyrical standpoint? Rate on a scale of 1 to 5

Absolutely, without a doubt, Mona Lisa. Because she's been  c l o n e d.  And she's letting us know. And she wants us to know that she wants us to know. I consider this to be one of the best songs written by Britney, period. It is reflective of Brinny's life, very clever / interesting & intricate and I love the sinister undertone.

 

4. Which is your favourite video from the given choices? Rate it on a scale of 1 to 5 {Only videos released officially counts}

This is tough because I personally think of the music videos for My Prerogative, Do Somethin' and Someday (I Will Understand) to be all equally beautiful and precious.

My Prerogative captures Brinny at the peak of her prime, looking absolutely drop dead stunning. She is fierce as hell in the video, and the car scene at the beginning remains forever iconic.

You can tell the Do Somethin' video was Brinny's passion project as she co-directed it and came up with the choreography on her own. Once again, she looks stunning and the scene of her driving a car in the sky while hanging out with her hyena girlfriends is so Brinny you can't possibly get more Brinny.

Someday (I Will Understand) gave us Pregnantney and there's something poignant and spiritual about the whole piece. Since she was serving Sexney song after song, video after video, it's nice to see an entirely different more personal side to Brinny that she wouldn't revisit until Brittany Jeep 

It's really hard for me to decide   All of them are 5/5. I'll go with Someday because I don't see many people voting for it. 5/5.

Definitely the Greatest Hits: My Prerogative album cover. A lot of people on here criticize the photoshoot but I've always loved the big hair and the clothes!!! This is Uniqueney at her best and y'all will have to deal! No other greatest hits even comes close to the iconic status of this album cover. 5/5
