It's very surprising that she loves Otis Redding so much. He's so different from her music style.

I love her voice and whenever she brings the little bit of the soul she has I'm here for it :clap:

I know she listened to a lot of british soul at the time with stuff like Duffy/Amy Winehouse and wanted to collaborate with Mark Ronson (but he refused :unbothered:).

And I'm glad that recently she released songs that are Soul-influenced( like "Private Show", and "What You Need") -even if it's not perfect she's trying new things-

 I didn't even knew she explored that music genre easier in her carrer. It's refreshing to hear her like that.

Britney has often cited Otis as one of her favorite singers. 
In an interview Britney said "I listen to Otis Redding a lot. I love him, man. I just think he's awesome. There's nothing better than putting him on, getting in the tub and lighting some candles, and just chillin'." link2.png 

Britney also listed Redding's "The Dock of the Bay" album as her seventh favorite album of all time for Rolling Stone, in a list that also included Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Prince and TLC.

And I honestly doubt whether this is really Britney or not, I mean it's not like those Lolene demos that have been posted recently on YouTube trying to be passed off as Blackout outtakes but the whole thing sounds off, even though I must admit that I first I didn't believe it was Britney on Instant Déjà Vu either :demi:
