I can't with you guys. She ain't Aretha Franklin and she never was. She is not performing at the Grammys or doing a vevo acoustic, she is f**king playing at home with instagram.

Maybe the reason why she doesn't sing more often is because even her own fans laugh at her, and her voice.

I don't get her style of singing in these Instagram videos.. at all. It's like she's trying to be too agile with her voice, and her natural range and vocal type isn't suited to that. And when she goes low, it's exaggerated and nothing like her true register. I just wish she wasn't so self-conscious about herself, and especially about singing. She still has potential but I think lack of training and practice has led her into singing in this weird way lately.

I wonder what does she think about her vocals. You know, they’re beautiful but she’s not confident with them  also, I KNOW that this video wasn’t her best, but... I give her the credit for at least doing it. Some users say she hasn’t sung live since 2004 but she has, and Something To Talk about was a wonderful,wonderful, vocal performance and y’all can’t deny.

Preach! Britney sings beautifully, but it’s just and Instagram video and I believe people expected too much. 

And  I agree with this: her fans laugh at her and that’s likely the reason she isn’t confident with singing live since 2011.

So... I see after the White Xmas video this started to trigger a lot of fans and even myself. 

“What happened to the beautiful Mickey Mouse Club voice?”

”Star Search vocals”

”BOMT era vocals” 

“Where are you now”

”Shadow”

”State of Grace”

well... I don’t know.

but I think the lack of confidence present since 2006 has really got into her and affected her singing somehow. Some of you are probably forgetting how beautiful her voice was star search era- 2007 but then she started... forcing her baby voice.

which was easy to sing in previously but got strained and forced after 2008.

Personally? I think that if the baby voice stopped, she would sing almost 100% live. STTA was her real voice so... 

she might be trying too hard to sound like she did in 2003.

I think she sounded like a dying toad in all of her ig videos, stta and happy birthdays. Its depressing as ****.

I miss her angelic voice. Someday or shadow were gorgeous without being too high or edited. I wish she would go back to that. Instead we get songs like private show that she physically cant even sing live because it's so over edited.

The baby voice started at BOMT 

she doesn’t have confidence because of anxiety and 20 years scrutinity about her vocal ability. And after years of doing the baby voice it’s changed the way she sings.
