I, personally, don’t believe the lyrics are corny at all. They actual have meaning and substance, much like Everytime (by no means am I comparing the two songs).

this was a big big hit in my country (Scotland),  perfect vocals, great video and lots of nostalgia!  i'm 32 now but I remember this song being released and I still love it to this day. It's classic Britney.  She is so beautiful in the video with the short hair

I can imagine it my favourite song at age 4 was Everytime, it was in the radio all the time and I was kindergarden age when I first saw Toxic and I'm rewatching it ever since I had access to Youtube (circa 10 years) so this is my story

Being long time fans, as we are, I can’t just abandon her because the POM tour was a complete train wreck. I’ve been fan for far to long. She a part of my life and always will be.
