Mc54
After hearing this out in a club in 2018 -- it left me amazed at just how good she sounds on it and what could've been if it were a single. It has that 2000's pop style production, deep vocal performance and a cinematic theme to it that tells such a great story. Just thought we had to appreciate it again, 17 years later! Link to comment
Commotion
YES it's one of my favourites from Britney. Listened to the whole album not long ago for the first time (baby stan here) and Cinderella was the song that got stuck on my mind the most. I'd heard Slave before obviously, so it had no wow factor for me, but this one was so catchy Link to comment
LostInAnImage
This song is pop perfection! It’s very reminiscent of her hits from OIDIA, so I think it likely would’ve been very successful, much more so than the singles they did release. Plus the music video and performance(s) could’ve been really epic. For the MV, I always imagined something akin to her (original) Fantasy commercial, running through a fairytale like forest, adorned in a long dress and whatnot, where it’s equal parts innocent and insidious. Good4Ya
Yaaaay! It’s a pop gem and I love badass cinderella saying you know what I’m outta here! Link to comment
BlackoutExtreme
I always enjoyed the song, still do! Link to comment
Avatar
This song would have flopped hard. 2001/02 was all about rnb and hip hop. Pretty sure it wasnt even meant to be on the album originally. Link to comment
Commotion
i think we should have regular appreciation threads every once in a while for underrated songs tbh Link to comment
Prince Ali
Chris Marrs Piliero wanted Britney to have a video for this.. he would be a perfect director Link to comment
MissSpearsSaysSo
Aside from the singles, Britney has so many great pop tracks that don’t get enough love. Cinderella, Anticipating, That’s Where You Take Me, When I Found You, and every other song on that album. There’s not a bad one in the bunch! It’s her very best and most pure pop album she has! I love it! Link to comment
dsanta01
Love this song it always makes me laugh because I always leave the party before midnight drunk AF Link to comment
I'mNotTheAverageLady
YESSSSS If it'd been a single, it would be a Britney classic by now Link to comment
Kartofelek
Britney hated it, along with Bombastic Love. Jive even tried remixing Bombastic Love into more r'n'b thingie for the single release but Britney refused. Link to comment

She wrote the song to boot. Link to comment

Aside from most of the tracks on ITZ, these are my favourite album tracks. Not that anyone cares Link to comment
2K16NEY
Young me loved it. The song seems very dated now Link to comment

I love Bombastic Love, though its just another mass produced max Martin track. Link to comment
Untitledjp
One of her most underrated album cuts ever! The pre-chorus is incredible. Link to comment
