Wow, they are really good! I could see Britney doing that, it didn't look too complicated but it was very visually appealing.

I agree. I think if she at all plans to put CYM in her show, a choreo like this would be awesome. it's not too hard, it's just very visually appealing :)

this slays me more tbh :yesplease:

Yeah, I totally love this one too. I think it's all about simplicity, so that the moves don't get her too much out of breath... the movements are actually fairly simple but it still looks amazingly choreographed! ;)

I will say one thing.. If you actually look at 'Piece of Me' as a whole show, it is HIGHLY choreographed. Whether you like the choreo or not is up to you but you cannot deny that her arms have to be somewhere at almost every beat for almost every song. I think the issue is that it doesn't look like choreo sometimes because it seems like she's just throwing her arms around. But for her to remember all those moves (and she does)  is still pretty impressive I think.

What they COULD maybe focus on for the next residency/tour/whatever is coming up with  choreography that contains fewer overall steps and moves, but make them SHARP, make it look IN UNISON and CLOSE TOGETHER. Create moments - at the end of a strong beat, have a strong move and then pause etc. Not 20 dancers spread out throughout the entire stage. I never got the idea that "to entertain the entire theater we need dancers in every corner so everyone has someone to look at" because in the end the only direction people are looking anyway is Britney's. So the closer the dancers and Britney are together and the more alike their moves are, the more coherent the overall performance will look.  Also part of what makes the performance I posted so effective is that they not only dance in unison but wear costumes that visually promote the idea of "one big whole" instead of everyone kinda doing their own thing. They're all dressed in one color and wear the same shapes etc.

In the end, achieving this for an entire tour is no small feat but if the creative director, choreographer and costumer designer work together to create a cohesive show, it shouldn't be that big of a problem.
