I have a picture of the moment :hibebe:

Is that a real pic of you? if so, that's really cute! I would've been the same and showing off my CD!

The first time I saw the BOMT music video was when I was 9 and getting ready for school in the morning. I was hooked right away and in love; the atmosphere, the dancing, the whole entire video was something so different and something I haven't seen much of at the time. Then a few weeks later, we were at a Sam Goody in one of the Vegas outlets and they had those stands where you can listen to the new albums with headphones and stuff and I listened to it and loved what I heard. We had to leave (I didn't ask my mom to buy the album because it was pink and girly). My parents ended up leaving us at an arcade to play a bit while they went to the casino lol. My little sister started crying and the security guard found out we were left there so they took us to find our parents, which made her cry even more. When my mom finally came back, we went back to Sam Goody and my mom bought her the BOMT album and she stopped crying. When we got home, I took it and kept it. And I've been following her career really closely since then, recording all of her appearances, buying all of the albums, etc.

I was aware of Britney but Christmas 2007, I was 12 years old when I was given BLACKOUT by a distant family member. I listened to it Christmas day and took it everywhere with me. i thought I was really naughty listening to Freakshow :hibebe:

Then in 2008, Womanizer came out and gurl, I was obsessed, loved Circus and IUSA too. Didn't hear the full album till 2009, but then fell in love with it.

2010, '3' dropped and I remember fangirling over it, blasting it to everyone.

2011, I was obsessed with Femme Fatale, but the end of 2011 is when I became a stan! :yasqueen:

2007 - 2010 (RIHANNA STAN)

2008-2011 (Gaga STAN)

2011 - (BRITNEY STAN)

I was 12 it was 1999 spring just began and baby one more time was #1 in Belgium. It was constantly on the radio, I was like mom can we go to the store NOW because I need this single. My mom was up for it she always loved that I played music and danced to it instead of just watching tv.

In summer before the family holidays we always went shopping to get holidays necessity's like books to read by the pool or batteries for our cd-portables. That year I got the BOMT album.

Yeah, basically when the BOMT video premiered. I would follow her in press devoutedly, cut out articles, collect all I could get my hands on and never really gave up, even though I do not think she is genuine now as she used to be. This is now all about making money and nothing about being creative or passionate. However, I do not think I will ever stop loving her.

i remember getting in trouble for singing BOMT when i heard it for the first time in the robots movie (:mcorangu:), my mom told me "we dont sing britney spears" and i just kinda went with it. Like years later in 6th grade i randomly remembered it and asked my mom why i wasnt allowed to sing her songs, who was britney? and she told me this story of this teenaged girl who was the biggest star on earth and then she "got trashy, and went crazy". I asked what happened to her and mom said she didnt know. so i looked her up and i gradually fell in love with her.

I was in class when I was 8 and we were at our table doing whatever lesson it was and was and some girl said " Have you heard that song? It goes like "hit me baby hit me now".. I hadn't heard it at this point but then I knew exactly what song she was referring to when I finally saw the video and heard the lyrics. I never forgot hearing of BOMT for the first time before even hearing the actual song.

I was 9 in 1999 and some kids at my school danced to BOMT at a school play and I remember thinking it was so cool. Some time after that I was invited to a birthday party and we watched BOMT MV and I fell in love.

Then I remember my parents buying both Britney and Christinas debut albums and I got obsessed with both of them.

Obviously I was really young at the time so I dont have that many clear memories but I remember car rides where we listened to the cassete over and over and I clearly remember watching the Live in Hawaii Special on TV and the release of OIDIA and The VMAs. In 2005 I got obsessed with Nirvana and other bands because "I was a cool teenager" and I didnt really care much for either Britney or Christin. I didnt like Christinas image change (during Back to Basics) because it was too mature for me and Britney was pregnant and her whole private life and Chaotic were a big turn off to me in 2004. I didnt dislike her I just didnt care anymore.

In 2006 when everything started going downhill and we saw Britney in the media the whole time my heart broke a bit because even though she didnt have any new music out I realized at that moment that she still meant  a lot to me since she was basically the soundtrack of my childhood. I started obsessivley following everything that was going on and then Blackout came out and I loved that album and then obviously I was rooting for her comeback and ever since then Ive been following her again.

Aww this one is so cool, because I was 9 in 1999 too. Here in Venezuela I remember that song being played everywhere and one day in an event at school a group of girls did a choreography of BOMT with cool high school outfits and I became obsessed with the song even though I had not seen the video yet (I was a kid, so I was into cartoon network, nickelodeon and disney, never cared for Mtv at that time). When I saw the video I fell in love with her and the rest is history. :tysm:

P.S: I also remember when Crazy (the stop remix) came out, I was trying to catch it all the time on the radio so I could record it in full.  :hahayea:
