If you were in charge to reinvent Britney in 2018 what would you do?

REALISTICALLY :gtfo:

You had a chance to reinvent her fashion style, her music style, singles, promo, products she could release, tour, what would be your plan for 2018? Everything is not an acceptable answer.

Again, realistically, don't mop her into a Beyonce, Swift or someone she's not. Just her capabilities. :yesokay:

Go!

I just want her to go bold. Her team keeps making her chase trends and downplaying her sexuality. Like I got excited when Make Me was almost gonna be porno ish. I want her to take risk like that, there’s no reason to make her a Disney tween. She’s a grown *** woman and we need to see a fierce woman that she is. With that said, an edgy style with a hard sound to match. Would love her to have an aggressive almost angry sounding album. It’s time to let out the dark Britney.

I would give her 2 options:

1. Take 2 years off and spend 5 days a week 4-6 hours a day in the dance studio. Then come back and slay everyone with your moves. + more mature music. and pre recorded vocals

2. Take 2 years off and spend 5 days a week 2 hours a day on vocal lessons and 3 hours a day in the dance studio and come back as a live singer with good moves.

At the moment she is neither a great singer or dancer so I would have her either focus on one really hard or work on both equally. I would want her to make more mature music and sing about things that have meaning. I would go back to vocals like in the Britney era Not the strongest vocals but a lot of talk singing that she could do live. I would also have her sing at least 3 impressive ballads and have her comeback be her slaying live at the Grammys. That would get more publicity than her dancing half naked on stage again.

I would have a very glamerous era because at this point she is too old to be the "tomboy". Glamerous doesnt have to mean dresses all the time but I just want her to look really classy for one era. I also want her to realize that hair that is too light and dark tan makes her look 5 years older. So dark blonde no more platinum/yellow blonde.

Isn't this what gave us Britney Jean though? lol

IDTS. She was following another direction until Vegas happened and the plans were changed. She was working with urban producers, even will.i.am was aiming for another direction at the begining of 2013. I think the album direction changed after they signed Vegas contract and they started focusing on that instead of the album. By any means I think that album was 'her' work. Blackout (and all the demos from 2006/2007), on the other hand, is a good proof of what she's capable of.

At first I thought you said go "bald".:ohdear:

But them yes, I agree with you.

Her team has to stop making her a ***-doll figure.

something along the lines of "Something to Talk About". I know the whole "Joanne" thing is getting a bit tired these days BUT.. 10 albums into her career I'd like to see something more raw, personal and mature from her. she's thirty-effin-six.. :pleaseshhh: no more ***-kitten songs, no more songs about fcking, no more songs about random ****, SOMETHING MEANINGFUL AND PERSONAL (not BJ personal).. :pleaseshhh: she is a southern girl after all! :tysm:

Jesus please no hahaha enough failed country-inspired albums

I can see why you wouldn't be down for that but if you think "country inspired" albums are a failed trend then think of it this way: the dance pop Britney has been doing for the past years isn't bringing her much success either, her dance pop is even more cringy than a "country inspired" album would be. for any other artist it might be a bit cheesy but for Britney, an artist that hasn't had much musical growth since the beginning of her career, a "Joanne-esque" album wouldn't be the worst direction. she isn't experimenting, her music is getting stale and quite frankly, sad for a woman her age and with her experience. :unbothered: she doesn't even have to go country to achieve some kind of growth, she could do electronica or whatever. Madonna was 7 albums into her career when she started releasing much more meaningful music and it's not too late for Britney either. :useeingthis: "Glory" was good but it was tainted by trend-chasing without building upon those trends.. :useeingthis:

I'm bored with pop music in general and have been for the past - maybe 5-6 years?  I have been a Britney fan for the past 20 years and will always be a fan and interested in what she has to offer.  That being said, I sincerely hope that she stops following the trends (because what's trendy in pop now sucks and isn't doing well anyway) and comes up with something different.  She might as well take a risk now because it's not like she's rising to the top of the charts and needs to play it safe.  Britney's music since "Circus" has been safe.  I think she needs to transition again like she did with "Britney" and become more "adult" in her music.  The problem is that she isn't really taken seriously as an "artist" and when she does do something a little darker, deeper it's ignored which is partially her fault but really people hear "Britney" and they just want to dance and be care free.  Those of us who want her to evolve as an artist are probably a small group of people.  I do think she has it in her to take more control - she's not a stupid person and she does have talent but something (and we really don't know what) is holding her back.  Remember her passion during the ITZ days?  talking about writing "Everytime", talking about songs like "Touch of my hand", going around to clubs and watching people's reactions to demos (yes, she did this) to get an idea of what would work and what doesn't), sitting at a piano and coming up with melodies on her own - i'm all for giving her more creative control - that is, of course if she wants it.  It's probably my biggest frustration as a fan.  I get it though, there are things we don't know that are none of our business.  I could be wrong - maybe does want to just record dance music and be content.  The problem here is she doesn't even talk about it much.

Another problem that I would fix is the live singing.  You know when she first started we had quite a bit of strong live singing.  Every since she had her comeback with Circus we've barely heard much of her at all.  I was a little concerned, to be honest about what was going on until I heard some live singing from her - luckily we know she can still sing and is quite strong.  Why she is restricted from doing more of that is beyond me.  I'm not asking for a 2 hour unplugged show.  But 30 seconds of each track would at least help in a concert setting.  Or, if she's going to perform on an award show (and these shows are becoming lamer by the year) she needs to sing live to get peoples attention.  The times have changed.  It is more acceptable to sing live and suck (and boy do some of these artist suck) than to lip synch.  Dancing used to be more respected and well received - not so much anymore and many of these  new pop stars can't dance.  Yes, this is a problem.

Dancing - it's clear to me (and was made very clear when Vegas started that "old" Britney wasn't coming back.  She has improved tremendously since the FF era though.  Her body simply does not move the way it used to.  I do not know the reason (nobody does) but "old" Britney does appear out of nowhere sometimes.  Personally, I think whatever choreographers she has now either find her limitations difficult and come up with bad routines OR they just aren't that great to begin with.  I also always wonder why her rehearsals do not translate to the stage.  She was looking very good in the Vegas rehearsal videos and yet when she gets on stage she becomes stiff (at times).  Britney used to perform so effortlessly, her moves were so slick but care free.  I don't know but I will say maybe exploring other styles of dance would be a good option.  Britney does look good with slower and or closer moves with her and the back up dancers.

So if you didn't feel like reading the book I wrote here's a summery:

1 - Work on her voice and start some live singing

2 - New stylist and choreographers - more demanding routines - she can do this!  Lose the bathing suits and leotards and try some new, fancier outfits for the stage.

3 - More involvement in the material that she is recording.  If she is involved now, it would be nice to  know it.  Speak up about it in interviews - don't take the backseat Britney - show us you have ideas.

Also, no more Vegas, at least for a while.  I'm ready for a strong album and a tour that supports it.  A proper world tour - and a well received one.  The setlist would ditch the older tracks and focus on new material.  Sure, 4-5 old hits are fine but let's not rehash POM - let's move forward now.  She can't evolve if she continues to live off of her legacy.  4 years in Vegas is impressive but i'd rather she add more to her legacy before going back in the future.

I want edgy, **** dominatrix Britney singing about more than just Slumber Parties and men on the moon.

Britney is far from a teeny bopper pop twinkle and she should be singing in a more natural, deeper voice and stop the chipmunk auto tune.

:lollistare:

dont you realize that you are contradicting yourself? wanting dominatrix *** but no music about it?

frankly im tired of her **** she is nearing her 40s and need to learn how to be a **** woman not this teen early twenties s--t:rihit:

Since anything she’s gonna release probably won’t be a great hit anymore, I would definitely advise them not to chase trends and allow Britney to be more authentic and real (unless it means an album like BJ, but I hope not and it wasn’t really her most personal album). If she wouldn’t want to write a song herself she could at least pick someone else’s song to cover and work with someone on her own rendition. I also think that for the tour she should re-record some of her old songs in a different mood (the way she did with those Jazz versions before). I would try to incorporate at least a small fraction of live singing into the shows and maybe at least one tv performance sang totally live (to a song she would feel comfortable with).

As for the style, I think she should also stop trying too hard to be ****, at least not in the cheap and Lolita way. Instead of looking like a tired **** star, she should try to look in a confident, effortlessly **** and mature way. She really doesn’t have to be half naked to look and behave ****. Even the IUSA Music video type of look would do (not the house-wifeney one of course). She mostly looks good nowadays but wears unflattering clothes and make up, so I feel like these things could make a huge overall difference.

Most of that aren’t huge changes, I think. It’s more of a different direction she could take.

Some female empowerment. A darker album with a lot of hip hop and R&B tones. Blackout meets Glory meets Views by Drake. Something she hasn’t ventured into before. Although the singles need to be pure BOPS. New single in May with big promo, Another single in July with the album. Promo tour to coincide with the actual tour. Interviews everywhere, performances, VMA’s, BBMA’s, British awards ceremonies, a Netflix special documenting the revamp of Piece of Me for the tour and the recording of her new album released in July with the album. Lots of red carpet appearances with outfits like these:

billboard-music-awards-2016-britney-spea

Really gorgeous outfits, out there outfits, kinda wild outfits, with Britney acting a bit more sassy and fierce with them. A new Male Fragrance called ‘Womanizer’ released in September. A Super Bowl announcement in November.

Oh, and a lot of straight hair looks, very sleek and great makeup with no dark eye shadow or eyeliner.

That would be my list

1. Natural blond air

2. Natural Make-Up

3. More live & pre-recorded vocals

4. Less choreography but GOOD choreography

5. Let Britney has free hands on the music. She has good taste so let's trust in her.

6. To develop her artistic side: we all know that she can play piano...

7. Don't care about numbers but care about quality
