What did you think of the 55 hour marriage?

If you were a fan then what did you think of her 55 hour marriage to Jason Alexander?  It's so funny that I literally forgot about it until just now randomly. 

I was in High School and I remember EVERYONE at school talking about it and being SO surprised.  I didn't think much else but was kind of embarrassed for her and for sure shocked.  

What about you guys?

It was a whirlwind. And it was the first time ever Britney received that much negative press and I think it was the biggest story about her ever at that point. I ran ubritney.com back then and it was insane!  Sadly, I think this is when people started to not take her so seriously. Even though we all know it was rebellion and Britney wanting to make her own choices when it came to her life.

I specifically remember not thinking it was that big of a deal. Although I was 13 at the time. Even today I don't think it was that serious. Definitely a much bigger deal than it needed to be. 

I'm glad even Britney joked about it in the OHT Showtime special.

Not that its a reliable source butt also she was so sick of constantly feeling controlled I think this situation made her feel more in control because she was making a huge decision herself. Idk. Im in school for psych and humans do crazy things when they feel trapped.

This is why the whole breakdown happend  she wanted to not be controlled anymore and just be britney not BRITNEY  SPEARS

I thought it was very Hollywood weird and crazy. I remember reading the headline on yahoo.com that "Britney Spears Reportedly Marries Childhood Friend in Las Vegas" then refreshing the page later and it ready "Britney Spears Annuls Marriage after 55 hours"...I had to look up the word annul but yeah definitely caught off guard.
