If Britney never re-hired Larry as manager in 2008

idk how far the manager can make their artists relevant or not because at the end the artists have a choice to say no right?

larry probably has done what he could to keep her under the spotlight but at the same time manages her to not overworking.

if larry wasn't re-hired I think britney would be different. maybe she would get back to promoting heavily but I feel that it would be in a short period of time until britney realizes she needs someone who actually cares how she feels and knows her work background/ethic.

what they are doing right now is not boosting britney up to the peak but keeping her name out there by keeping her working. we saw how stiff she was in the opening night of POM to how she slayed in BBMA 2016. the progress is slow but it is obvious.

Without Larry Britney wouldn’t be where she is today. She would have retired by now. Their work relationship and the way they banter keeps it going. Plus he keeps her interested by giving her really cool things to do like announce a residency in a helicopter. Doing a residency in the first place. Loose women. Stuff she actually likes and loves doing

Larry Rudolph is one of the best managers in Hollywood. He knows what's best for Britney. Britney is still selling out shows, making millions and her brand is still powerful. Larry did a good job and I don't think anybody else would treat Britney the way he does

Exactly! And she kept her safe and somehow in all that crazy around her managed to get her into places and projects sometimes without the paparazzi knowing. Some stuff was kept secret, which was great for both sides.

All i know is that she looks very happy, so whatever he did, he did the right things, maybe she is not selling or promoting like she used to in her prime, but after all she's been through 10 years ago she deserve to just be happy and it seems it's working.

this, tho...

First of all, it wasn't Larry alone managing Britney during her prime. A lot of you need to look up the name "Johnny Wright".

Secondly, he's not a bad manager, but I will always believe he needs help and a co-manager who is younger, with fresher ideas, helping him.

Thirdly, wait until the next flop, and people's opinions here on Larry will go back to being demanding that he quit instead of this "we love Larry" vibe going on in here. 'Cause that's how y'all are.

why not Beyonce? They are the same age and yet she appears to be more mature and she is her own manager after firing her dad. She is her own brand, besides having a huge creative team behind her. I think female singers should all get together share experiences thoughts advice and strive to make better timeles music not these seasonal hits and be better people i know the market now is fast everybody has that instant access and gets tired of things really fast demands new songs every month or so but how come we have classics that will last forever like the 80s even 90s... it's all so deep and people have to really think how they work in the showbizz

It's hard to say bc she could have hired an even better manager or a way worse manager. But it really comes down to Britney. Larry is obviously an amazing manager if he was managing her during her peak. We don't know the real story, obviously her team sucks sometimes, but Britney is the one that tarnishes her own image. For all we know, her team behind the scenes could be trying really hard to make things better and it could really be 100% Britney. At the end of the day, it all falls back on her and makes her look bad and she's okay with that so I blame her either way.

Britney Jean was the fault of her management before Britney.

If she wasn't in a conservatorship that album would have never happened.

If conservatorship means she cedes career decisions like the NY Times article from 2016 implies, then her management is responsible for that album and probably a lot of other things.

Britney was all on board for Vegas and BJ was used to promote Vegas. If she didn't want to do an album she wouldn't do it. She was really proud of BJ.
