Fever Ray says she's inspired by Britney

Fever Ray is The Knife's Karen Dreijer solo project and her new album Plunge was released last October to critical acclaim. For those who are not familiar with them, The Knife as a band and Fever Ray as a solo artist are two of the most prestigious electronic artists of the past two decades. Turns out Britney has been an inspiration to Dreijer's latest music video for “To the Moon and Back”.

Having cleared out the cafe, we talk about To the Moon and Back. It’s about “the excitement of going out”. In its video, we witness the old Fever Ray character from the first album being shorn of her blond hair in favour of a bald head (actually a skull cap). “Yeah, it’s like when Britney Spears shaved off her hair that time,” she says, referring to Spear’s infamous haircut from 2007. “I love that idea of shaving your head and starting a new beginning.”

so weird omg im just listening to the song atm  Karin is an amazing artist and i love how she interprets one of Britneys darkest moments in her own perspective 

her new album is good (not as experimental as her previous works) but the songs are very catchy and escape the repetitive mainstream sound, i totally recommend it
