It was number #1 on YouTube for a while.... but yeah her label f'd up with Glory overall.  Britney did her part with lots of promo in the beginning... but the label literally did zero marketing (which is their job).  No billboards, No Spotify promo spots, Bare minimum radio airplay (I mainly heard it at the gym and clubs... but that's not from the label)....  they know POM and her Perfumes make more money than music these days, so they focus more on that.... she really needs to leave that label and her team.... but of course, her papa has to make that decision unfortunately... I can only imagine how sucky it feels to not have that creative input and label backing like she used to.

Britney did nothing for SP.

I think you meant Do You Wanna Come Over?

Even with heavy promo Slumber Party wasn't hit material. It's just a good song, but that's all. There's nothing different or spectacular about it. If any, maybe a top 40 or top 30 would've been its fate with a normal release and promo

Slumber party wasnt overly promoted the whole album wasnt really promoted. :anxiety:

This person must be delusional. Sp got a video and a performance in Vegas that few ppl see

It was not promoted as much as other singles.. We know the video and performances but the GP does not search for BS like we do lol

like WB had so much promo and air play! (Britney Jean had so much promo with not so good songs)
Glory should have had more promo and i rest my case. :outwithit:

I know it didn't get promo, what I tried to say is that EVEN if Slumber Party got some decent promo, the song just wasn't hit material. The most it could've gotten would've been a Top 40 or Top 30, if  being very positive.

As someone said, it was #1 on YT for a while, but even that got away rapidly, because it didn't have that x factor that makes someone from the GP want to watch it again and again. As a visual it was great, especially for Britney standards with her previous three videos, but the song wasn't that spectacular.

It would have been a radio banger - the caribbean feel the suggestive-ness. it would have been AMAZING. but.. we will never agree lol and im ok with that. :bwink:

BJ barely had promo neither though. The last time we got a huge amount of promo was Circus. Ff had a lot of magazine covers and a tour so that in itself is promo

I disagree.

I think it could have done well. It's very catchy. Britney's light has dwindled any song will need ALOT of help now.

We the fans kept the video going for a bit until we say once and for all they don't care about the music. Videos do great when the song does great. It was a losing battle for both with Britney and her team not caring

I know we won't agree, but I'm not just talking from my personal taste, I'm just seeing the facts.

DYWCO, a promo single that came out just one week before the full album was out, that got a performance only after a few weeks later, that no one watched, rapidly became the second most streamed song from Glory, surpassing the other two promo singles that came out before, and that the logical thing would be they had more streams. Even after the SP video came out, it took a while for it to surpass DYWCO. If ya'll refuse to see the potential in that song, it's a shame.

SP with A LOT of help would've done fine, that's true. But DYWCO with A LOT of help would've done so much better. Even Change Your Mind that is not among my favorite Glory tracks, would've done better than SP. Even MM showed to be a better song, if it wasn't for the video fiasco, or the radio refusing to play the song, it would've reached even Top 10. The audio clip has almost 30M views.

Independently of SP being a good song or not, or that eventually it could've been released as a 4th or 5th single, at that moment it was the worst decision to release another slow song after Make Me... What was needed was an up-tempo, or the closest to it: DYWCO, CYM, Better, IID, even Clumsy, anything but a slow, chill song like SP.

DYWCO was a promo track. It was going to initially have more streams.

When it came out it did nothing for ppl on here. The only reason ppl say it would have done better is because it's faster but it didn't matter. Radio had already given up on her. Fast or slow song a like.

Man On The Moon

Slumber Party should have been the 3rd single imo. And Just Luv Me would have worked well too as a final single. I agree with your other choices.

And that's precisely why I think it had more chances of being a hit, because I know Exhale only liked it for a day, thus the streams were coming from the GP too and not just the fans.

Private Show came out on Aug 4th, Clumsy on Aug 11th and DYWCO the 18th. The album officially dropped on the 26th, so it only took a week for it to surpass PS and Clumsy.

Of course it would've needed help, because radio wasn't here for Britney anymore, but I think it would've been easier to achieve moderate success, at least in the streaming department, if it got a video as great as SP did.

Man On The Moon

For Man On The Moon MV I always imagined Britney looking beautiful in a wet gown at night by the beach shore looking up at the star filled sky while we see shots of her fiance up in space trying to destroy a meteorite thats heading for Earth, very Armageddon. We also see shots of when they first met and there relationship up until he is called up to space and shes devastated. Then at the end we think the fiance dies as he is able to stop the meteorite but only at his own expense but its a Britney MV so he shows up in a line up with his crew walking off the space craft and Britney runs up to him and kisses and hugs him. :kyliecry::urite:
