BBMA 2016

I just watched that performance again and I love it. She was amazingly looking and even if her dancing was stiff you get a great Britney Spears experience, expecially considering her nowadays standards. I'm not even talking about lipping to her tracks cause I'm not asking that from her, she clearly is not interested in singing live. 

I just wish the WB segment was longer. 

Anyway, I'm just asking myself why this highly televised performance didn't brought in more fans and overall interest in her and her upcoming album.

I think it was just too late . And tbh the make me video just ruined the era

She wasn’t that stiff, definitely better than any other performance since 2008. But the BBMA’s were in like what, May? She also wasn’t televised getting the Millennium Award (which was a stupid move for Larry to let her do that ****), and the single didn’t come until like 2 months later. Any impact or hype died.

It was great for me... The best Britney after TOHT... and of course they missed the opportunity to premiere MM, but... it was great.

She was a little stiff to begin with but overall she totally slayed it - the way she eyefucked the camera during slave was just like Primeney 

The only 2 downsides for me was what you said: work ***** was too short and she just walked around for ages during womanizer. Secondly, they should have included BTI (with the original choreo) it would have been so ******* iconic!!!

If Make Me was added to that medley as rumored or at least a video of some sort for the song was premiered that night the Glory era might have had a chance. It's like they planned on making this the start of the era and got the hype right (V magazine, revamp, this flawless look), then they scrapped it to wait for the vmas to push the promo and look how that went. I think she only performed because they already confirmed and it was good for vegas promo but she was able to weasel her way out of being presented the award onstage. An award that big deserved a speech tbh and not a costume change and a couple spins.

I don't think she can do the original bti choreo with heels

There was too much time between the performance and the release of Make me.

They should have kept her low profile before and do the entire performance for the VMA's (and add Make me). Had she done the BBMA performance for the VMA's she would have held up against Beyoncé and the media would have covered more Glory press.

I think as fans we have to realize that ppl in GP are still wanting Britney who danced her *** off. Like we think it was a good performance because we know how low the bar is set. But I don't think anyone cared about it because it was just that... a cute performance where she did old hits. That paired with them not using that opportunity to release a new single and waiting too long to even drop the album, it was a huge disappointment.

This was everywhere during May, but the hype died cuz her team didn´t plan anything after this and waited too much for the Glory era to start.

They kinda pushed all of the plans to release MM at the VMAs, which was another wrong move considering the performance was not as good as the BBMAs.

I believe that was the intention, I mean why would she perform a medley out of nowhere? Besides Robin Leach confirmed the original idea was to present her new single that night

 

But as many other things that didn't work for her team, they scrapped the idea and put G-easy on the track believing an end of summer release would smash the world 

 

They wasted a great opportunity since BBMA are a bigger deal than the VMAs but then again, her team is stuck on the 90s

She needs to sack Larry get a new manager and get a new record label who actually give a **** about her and her career
