there is a size limit on the gifs so that could be why, max is 0.78mb

right click ur gif file (im assuming ur uploading a gif?) and check the properties that will tell u the file size. if u need help just pm me

it used to be like that for me but recently it increased and i assumed it was the same for everyone else, maybe its a privilege kinda thing when u hit certain post count/rep?
