Breaking: Gunman Opens Fire At Route 91 Harvest Country Festival In Las Vegas

At least one gunman opened fire at festival-goers attending the Route 91 Harvest country music festival in Las Vegas Sunday night.

Video footage posted to the Internet shows people at the concert running in a panic as at least one gun man took shots using some kind of automatic assault weapon.

Multiple people have reportedly been killed.

Reports suggest the gunman or gunmen were stationed on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel. It is also believed there was a gunman positioned at the New York New York hotel and another at the Luxor hotel, though that is unconfirmed.

At the time of posting (11:30 pm PST), Las Vegas was under lock down. Flights were delayed, the I-15 freeway was shutdown and hotels near Mandalay Bay were not allowing anyone to enter or exit.

Police confirm the news.

Please avoid heading to the south end of the Strip. Las Vegas Blvd is shut down at Tropicana, southbound past Russell Rd at this time.

I have family in Las Vegas; thankful you my cousin, his wife, and their toddler and newborn are safe.  A couple of my other family members are apparently on lock down in a Walgreens, though.
