I once asked ppl to synch the Make Me stems for me so it would compile a song and an user did it for me. But I realized they are very inactive with 0 reputation. They don't post , but take time to make two mixes of Make Me for me? I am so amazed by their generosity

There are so kind people here on Exhale :crying2:

You asked someone to make a song that's available everywhere? :calculating:

Stems are of higher quality. A lossless stem mix is how you are gonna get it in the best quality possible. Even 24-bit files you can buy from internet are of a lesser quality.

24 bit is not lesser quality, and you're not going to be able to tell the difference above 24 bit unless you have studio grade professional equipment. And even then, independent blind A-B tests have showed that 0% of listeners were able to hear any difference between 24 bit and higher bit depth audio. 16 bit is the standard for most quality consumer headphones and speakers anyway, it's the reason why CD's are mastered and pressed using that bit.

Thanks :)

One thing I know is that I always hear a difference between 16, 24 and stems versions. Even the official whole stem version of DYWCO is better for my ears than the 24-bit version I bought. And in turn the 24-bit version is substantially better than the 16-bit version. And I know more people who hear it like that on Exhale.

I think that's probably the placebo effect, or the fact that it could be a different way of mixing / exporting the track from the program used to compile the stems. 24 bit is pretty much the max audio quality you're going to get. I personally use 16 bit, ripped from my physical CD's because I still have that great sound quality and at a more manageable file size. I fit a lot of music on my phone so I rip my favorites in 16 bit and just use iTunes Store bought m4a's for the rest of my collection. Britney's albums alone take up about 5-7 GB on my laptop, imagine if I switched to 24 bit. :orangu:

Well, DYWCO 24.wav (or whatever it is called) stem mixing is different for sure, the bass is louder than in any other file, to begin with. It is from the stem leak.

And what this member mixed for me of Make Me sounds better as well.

So whatever it is, I have just come to terms with it and do what works for me.

BTW, why are kbit/s rates in the properties of files of different 24-bit files different then? :nocomprende:
