Can we talk about how the VMAs always snub and/or humiliate Britney? :girlwhat:

During her prime (1999-2004): No awards, not even for BOMT, OIDIA, S4U, Toxic etc. **** even the Grammys (the ultimate Britney snobs) gave her an award for Toxic.

2011: Honoring her with the Vanguard award and letting her introduce Beyonce

2016: Letting her go on right after Beyonce's CONCERT which is basically setting her up to fail

Although the underwhelming performance is kinda her and her team's fault but nonetheless, the VMAs suck.

You can add how they allowed that "performance" to happen 10 years ago. :embarrassney:

Why do you keep using that argument as if it's a justified reason for Britney to deliver a mediocre performance? Her VMA comeback was boring, period.

I don't care if the new popstars can't perform as well as the Y2K ones. Britney is not held up to the Selena Gomez standard, she's held to the Britney Spears standard.

There was nothing mediocre about the performance

Most of the ******* viewers who watched and criticized the performance seem to forget that she's performing a MIDTEMPO song that does not call for all that extra stuff

A midtempo calls for live vocals or the original choreo with pre-recorded vocals. :whitney:

The delusion. Explain to me how BOM and TOMH are even slower, yet the performances of those two tracks have always featured a bigger production and more energetic and fuller choreography.

She gave a mediocre performance with mediocre visuals.
