Yes because a few of my girl friends who aren't Britney stans at the time Britney Jean was out actually told me they loved the song. So I think it really could have been a decent hit had the original video been released and had Britney promoted the song.

Yes  but with a song that the gp isn't really used to hearing from Britney and on top of that with no promo, it was bound to flop.

I love the dreaming mix, the original is nice but the dreaming mix is dreamy. Should've been on the album

I am. It's one of her best ballads and she sounds great in it, and the song was still very radio friendly too. If she promoted it at the time it could have been a bigger hit imo.

Conflicted: part of me says "Yes!" because it's probably my favorite off Myah's debut album and the songwriting really struck a cord with me , but at the same time kinda "No!" because it's just another Sia song, y'know?   Sia is the new Max Martin and I'm not really into that part of the music industry.

This. I thought it was good at the time but I recently went back and listened to BJ in totality (to see if I would enjoy the album more) and perfume actually isn't that great.

It’s a good song but I’m not sad it flopped as a single. Honestly there’s not much single material on Britney Jean.

No, it's pretty cringey. "I gotta mark my territory." Also, it would've brought more attention to Britney Jean which is the last thing I wanted when the album sucks and Britney doesn't even sing it.

It is the greatest wonder that the controversy about that didn't get really big. Britney got away so easily that time around.

In a way yes but in a way no. I think Perfume was a necessary flop so we could get to Pretty Girls another flop to get everyone involved to wake up regarding her musical choices.
