Why that song? That wasn't a VMAs song.

Why a feat? Why is she so afraid of performing her stuff alone? In 1999 she shared the stage with NSync, a boyband. In 2000 she performed a song older than her. In 2003 performed with Madonna and 2 other artists and it wasn't even her own songs. And last year she had to not only bring some who into her VMAS performance but also perform some other song of his and cover Bebe Xoxo's part. Not to mention that she was confirmed/rumoured to perform in 2004 with the Ying Yang Twins. The only VMAs performances from her that she only sang her songs alone were the 2001 VMAs & 2007 VMAs and that's if you close your eyes to the fact that she sang 15 seconds of some other song.

Performance was horrible and cringeworthy for Britney Spears, if she couldn't be bothered to put on an iconic performance at the VMAs then she could've just stayed home, hidden in middle of Vegas. 

The fanbase had a meltdown about MM's music video, but the meltdown should've happened for that cringeworthy mess of a performance. Still trying to figure out what it was the she 'had never done before', as the VMAs faudulently advertised.

Well it prob made sense for her and NSYNC to perform together because she opened for them on tour and it was both their first times performing there. Their mgmt prob offered their performance as a packaged deal to make sure both acts got a spot. And her version of satisfaction was also on her album so it made sense she did that. I liked that it showed another side of her at the time. And I don't think 2003 was ever supposed to be "her" performance. It was supposed to be about Madonna more than anything. She just ended up overshadowing her lol it was def supposed to be paying homage to Madonna lol. Last year's is the only one that made no sense. Me myself and I isn't on her album, they didn't release it as a single or even put it on her website. And as far as I know she hasn't even performed that song again. So it wasnt like she just loves the song so much. Made no sense smh

2007 VMAs **** grabbing was badass. This one, like the whole performance, was boring and forgettable.

They should have held the BBMA's performance for the VMA's + make me instead of touch of my hand. GP would have seen a great performance by Britney and a mess by Beyoncé.
