u guys overrate the **** outta britney's music in general. it's not a bad thing to admit. she has some great songs but u act like she changed the ****** world with itz and blackout. itz is full of quasi-kylie tracks (mark taylor worked with kylie shitloads and we all know toxic was a kylie reject). toxic is the only innovative song shes ever released, period. and its nothing to be ashamed of. u guys are fans of the very definition of a modern popstar, meaning she releases music that appeals to the masses. not some revolutionary war hero **** sake :tiffcackle:

another cup of timeless tea :lemmetellu:

some of the critical reactions in here remind me of when I used to be on Gagadaily and there was this little groups of "fans" that kind of got over her and basically spent most of their time talking back to the people that still liked her a lot and discrediting everything she'd done and accomplished. like why are you still here if you dont even like her anymore to the point that you spend most of your time here talking **** to the fans lol like why be on a forum devoted to an artist you've seemingly lost so much respect for

I wont mention all the timeless and electro music stuff cause that's not even objective but in my opinion, most of the songs are great tracks, there are just a few (almost no one) skippable songs. All of them are single material which is hard to find in albums in general because usually singers and producers only focus on some tracks in advance while the rest are just fillers. Blackout is full of enjoyable songs ironically released at Britney's worst and darkest days. It's not my favorite album but I do recognized it as a great album.

About the Grammy nomination, to be even considerwd by the Academy, labels need to enroll their artists and their material in the "contest" in first place, then the academy selects the possible nominees and finally release the final nominations.

Probably JIVE (her label at the time) didn't even send Blackout to the academy. Who knows. And let's not act like she's been ignored, Baby, Oops, Britney, In the zone and Circus albums have had at least one nomination.

who do u mean tho? me and shadow? we're reiterating what u have been saying in this same thread tho. if u don't mean us then which members?

its not that I disagree entirely, im just saying you guys are like overtly negative about her lol like you're down to get aggressive about it.

but quite honestly the hardcore britney stans can be exactly that and overly defensive so I guess thats just your reactions? idk. but it reminds me a lot of Gagadaily.

we're not discrediting her. the "group" u're talking openly admits that she released great albums in the past, toxic is an innovative song, she used to be an excellent performer/entertainer ect. She has her fair share of good work.

u don't expect us to see people falsely claim that Blackout is in the Rock n roll hall of fame and not say anything right? :tiffcackle:

how is it being overtly negative to simply point out that itz is full of quasi-kylie tracks or that blackout wasnt the album to start the electropop movement?

who is being aggressive anyway dude? u were aggressive to us in the other thread, yes, but who is being aggressive in this thread?

because ive seen you guys gang up in the same way in regards to britney being wack or whatever. i didn't read your essay in its entirety and i wasnt even referring to it. it seemed thoughtful.

and i cant with you guys STILL talking about it when i ended that conversation and was getting notifications about it like 10+ minutes after. that kind of just exemplifies what I was referring to in aggression. and im not so dumb as to not acknowledge my own arrogance, i never deny my *******-ness. i really dont care. it was just an observation.
