I think they're saying that Britney used to be so photogenic and every picture she would take would come out so nice and that's missing from her recent shoots

I don't think this is necessarily true. Back in the day, her team would only pick the best photos for promotional use and that was it.

Now, everyone is so much hungrier for media that so many more photos need to be used, so now we're not getting just the best photos, were getting any photo that isn't bad.

Also, now outtakes from shoots are more likely to leak than before so we even see the shots that aren't that good.
