Why are some fans saying negative stuff about Sam?

I don't follow Sam's social media accounts but I think I read he said or did something that pissed off some fans, and since then I see many of them calling Sam an ******* or an idiot. 

Can someone explain all of this? What did he do?

Apparently he said some mean things about homeless people a few years ago?  I don't think people realize the kid is 23. A few years ago, he was a teenager. Teenagers say stupid **** sometimes that they might not agree with in adulthood. It's not the same as a grown woman in her mid-20's worth hundreds of millions going up to a homeless man and saying "You're better off being you, than being me."  

Either way, he might be a complete scumbag or he may not be. But he can sit on this face.

He's a young man. Men mature much slower than women. He'll definitely say and do things that are immature. He's far from perfect but he has a career, he appears healthy and he's not a big party person and doesn't come off as someone who does drugs. He's a health and gym freak, no kids, she's smarter than him simply because she's older so she has more control--that's perfect! I also think she has fun with him. I love them together! Cannot wait for him to be in her next video!

agreed. that steroid junkie is not even attractive like some of the members try to make it seem. what's up with his mouth by the way? but that's not the main issue anyways. he puts blame on homeless people for their situation and laughs when his friends say he should run over them. how ******* vile. he's disgusting on the inside as well. as if he bought all his cars with his own hard-earned money and not thanks to his parents' fortune.  and he's obviously taking advantage of britney and using her for his own benefit. what a coincidence that his sister made her modeling debut in the same event that britney attended with him. lmao thank god some members are not shallow and aren't blinded by his steroid muscles and we can see all of that.

I started a thread which I can't find now but I was supportive of him at first but when I joined a live stream I saw what a vile arrogant human being he was.

someone asked him to come to their country and he said nooooo thank you as if the country was a bad place to go.

everyone else brought up different scenarios that made me realize how full of himself he is.

and getting to join her on tour (maybe for free). i never liked him from the start either, like there's something about him that's just really off.
