I remember these. They were called eMixes, and they were fun little online "remix" programs. There were a bunch of them for different artists on the mixman website, and they all required the Beatnik plug-in. They only played about a minute of the song total, with loops, and different options for synths, vocals, percussion, etc. They were a lot of fun. One day, without warning, they all suddenly disappeared and never came back. I was able to track down a Jazz one a few years ago, but that was the only one. The beatnik plugin itself is hard to find and doesn't really work with modern computers.

Random, useless fact: the Crazy one had a different layout to it than all the other eMixes.

I have the plug in, but it's useless since like you said the beatnik site removed the content.

I found the Crazy sounds used, but I want to make my own lol:

I've tried the wayback archive on any sites relating to the Beatnik player and eMix, but unfortunately since their archive software didn't have the Beatnik plugin, the pages with the actual eMixes redirected to a "download the plugin" page, so nothing was saved. :(
