3 - Circus or FF

Personally I despise the concept of non-album singles, so I always add extra tracks to the nearest album. I consider Scream & Shout/ Ooh La La/ Pretty Girls /Tom's Diner/ SMS Bangerz to be part of Britney Jean. But I've been torn by 3. Do you think it's part of Circus or Femme Fatale?

I used to think 3 was part of the Circus album before I became a fan just because I know that when she released 3, she was still on the Circus tour.

I felt 3 always belonged in Circus Era she still looked young there it was end of 2009 going into 2010 right before she aged and changed. It definitely doesn't' feel like it would belong to FF at all.

I voted FF because I feel like it sounds more like the sound featured on that album than Circus

Circus era to me, simply cause it was released when she was touring in Australia (Circus Tour)

However she did recorded it together with I Wanna Go which obviously is part of Femme Fatale.

BUT, it was recorded along with I Wanna Go, Criminal and Up N Down (if I remember well)! 

BILAN : 

- If you are more into released dates : CIRCUS 

- If you are more into recording sessions : FEMME FATALE

3 would fit nicely on Femme Fatale. Its lyrics match more with that theme than Circus. Somewhere between I Wanna Go and Big Fat Bass.

Song-wise it's clearly more FF than Circus but we all think of Circusney when we think of 3 so my vote goes to Circus

I can’t find any information on which order she recorded her songs in, where did you hear that?

I think it was originally meant for femme fatale. Some sources claim that it was meant for the deluxe edition of circus but the deluxe edition was already released on day one in 2008. I believe it was from the first recording session for FF but they decided to release it on TSC instead

I know it was recorded with If you seek amy, but I feel like the sound of the track and the video seem much more FF. Plus the fact that she performed it on the FF tour for the first time makes it FF for me.

circus because in the MV she has her old bubbly personality that we still got glimpses of during the circus era

FF bc it was recorded during those sessions. Other than the Circus Tour, the Circus era was over when 3 was released.
