Spearsfan
That is bad for a Britney lead single though. It could have slayed big time if Britney and her team weren't lazy. Link to comment

Work ***** was released on September 2013 and it did top the Itune, right? Or did it get blocked by wrecking ball? Top iTunes means nothing. Im pretty sure WB was blocked. WB also didn't do amazing right away it was a song that got exposure and sales over year. Link to comment
pablitonizer
Not mentioning the unforgettable mess of MM video which literally killed the song... there were too many other mistakes like Bricni not mentioning the song till the album release, not promoting it till VMAs, etc, When u release a single the first month is critical, u have to make interviews, live performances, and not wait more than a month to release a video... those things worked in 1999, we're in 2017 inside the streaming era, u need to move fast if u wanna succeed Link to comment
asitalian12587
pretty solid numbers if you ask me, especially with the limited promo we got and the bland mv. Link to comment

If they promoted it right after the release, had a good video along with the lyric video, better VMA performance, and a music video premiere for the second single then it would've been a big hit. They're lucky it's almost platinum in the US after the screw ups. Link to comment
