i still don't know if this is pre-recorded or a mix of live and album vocals :triggered:

maybe her voices does sound like the albums and we've been thinking she's been lipping for 20 years :otears:...even when her mouth is closed :triggered:

Sounds totally live to me, and it sounds great! Sure, there may have been some imperfections, but that's the thing; a live vocal performance does not always have to be 100% perfect (unlike a record that may be polished to perfection).

And when it's live (even w/ a backing track—not overshadowing, of course—), you feel the connection some more (it's more direct).

It's live. I watched this when it aired and it's live. There's a certain face Britney makes when she sings live and any hardcore fan can distinguish it.

i did too but you can hear some phrases being live and some sounded way too clear and bright to be a live voice

I'm not a girl
(I'm not a girl don't tell me what to believe).
Not Yet a woman
(I'm just trying to find the woman in me, yeah).
All I need is time (All I need),
A moment that is mine (That is mine),
While I'm in between.

I'm not a girl
Not yet a woman (not now)
All I need is time (All I need),
A moment that is mine,
While I'm in between.

this part is lip synced

It does sound like a mix of her live voice and the album vocals, but I still don't understand how she swings from singing to lipsynching without a change of volume or anything, it all sounds very smooth. I don't know if you get what I mean but yeah, the one in charge of the audio did a good job that day :plzexplain:

This! You can tell how she suddenly starts swinging her arms around.

I think she sang it live, but parts were dubbed.  I love this performance, she looks great here too. :imcute:

It was recorded the same day as this performance, same hair, but aired months later to due how busy she was going to be promoting Crossroads.

This is one of my fave performance of "slave". The live band gave me eargasm!

I think we need to have a little more faith... When I watched her singing Happy Birthday I was still thinking "this isn't live, this is prerecord". I watched her star search a few weeks back and found myself thinking "***** is miming". :nydisgust:

We're hardwired to think she is "ALWAYS" miming tbh (although she obviously does a lot) :selenerz:
