I loved American Dream, it's a shame Glu gave up on it. They only care about Kim Kardashian's stupid game. They gave up on Katy Perry's game too. 

There was also It's Britney back in the Circus era but it was pretty crap and the app's gone now. 

And yeah i remember her talking about that app but it was literally in one interview not long after Glory came out. I'm not sure if it's been cancelled, just forgotten about or if it's still in development.

I don't really think it got scrapped, I just think the release date got pushed back. They likely spoke about it prematurely and things with business and technology change. Plus, it's Britney. So just because she said something is coming out "soon" doesn't mean it'll be out in the next few months…

But if it truly just didn't work, I would not be surprised…

It was due to come out to help promote Glory, but there were glitches so it was decided to push back the release of the App to coincide with the release of #B10 instead. Britney wants to really celebrate her 20 year anniversary in 2018 with a new album, a new tour, new perfume and the launch of the App. It's no secret she doesn't enjoy promoting at all so she likes to release all her projects around the same time and this gives her more to talk about during interviews. Through the App, Britney intends to really open up to fans and share funny stories and memories from her 20 years in the biz. She'll also be posting never before seen behind the scenes photos from music videos and she'll be talking about things she's never spoken about before in depth such being a mom and how much she admires Rihanna, Adele and Beyonce.     

I thought the app idea was ridiculous when they first were talking about it and this made me roll my eyes even harder.

She hates to promote. Yes.

But she wants to open up to fans in the app? 

Then open up in some damn interviews and promote your brand in a healthy way that capsulates your legacy.

wtf are you talking about? It was announced it would be released with the Famos surprise in the near future.
