Why is the audio always so bad?

Compared to the amazing editing the albums have, the "Live" audio both in tours when performing live or on official releases is always..

 

C R A P

Not gonna start talking about what pre recorded work should have been done, but they even mess up the studio acapellas, wasted in bad mixes.

 

The most recent example. POM, vocals from 18 y.o Britney to 30 y.o britney, with the main vox peaking at verses and disappear at choruses (esp. freakshow)

 

anyway my point is, HIRE A FRICKING GOOD SOUND ENGINEER AND MUSICAL DIRECTOR.

Do you mean Piece of Me? It's a live band so it's gonna be different than her usual tours.

Simon Ellis did a fantastic job for Circus and Femme Fatale imo.
