Apparently, there is something called soul consciousness transfer, a process of importing all memories during one's sleep (wherever the sleeper is) into the clone present at the cloning station...

That is exactly what I think! Nsync was huge at that time and JC and Justin were the ones who used to lead the band, they got the solo parts of the songs most of the time and having one of them in a relationship would affect their image and also Britney was tagged as the miss american dream but at the end I think they were the royal couple and everybody wnted to have what they had, Britney guys fans dreamed about being Justin and Justin girls fans being Britney!
