It's obviously either a mistake or Crossroads was not the original title, which makes sense since the movie is about friendship, not about career paths and life decisions.

It's possible they changed it. "Drive Me Crazy" was originally going to be called "Next to You". I think Melissa Joan Heat said it on her Making the Video.

What I love about this thread is that the newbie fans just exposed themselves.

Any true long time fan knows that Crossroads was not the original title of the movie, it was in fact, "What Are Friends For"

It's normal for movies to have a "working title" during shooting and then because of marketing reasons it gets changed.

Such "fans" ugh, even if they pretend to be nice and quirky

they don't know **** about Britney.

Totally agree!

It makes me sad for them because they never got to experience the real Britney. To them, the real Britney is slutty in stilettos doing dance music. Britney was not about that.

That was one of Crossroad's original titles wasn't it? Think it was called 'Not a Girl' (after the song) at one point too.
