What about Billboard hot 100? Chantaje peaked higher than SP. Also, it charted better in a bunch of countries. I just looked it up, because I'm not really into charts and that kind of stuff. It surprised me how well received Chantaje was. 

Also, it was Shakira's second hit this "era", or whatever, so let's not underestimate her popularity.
