Someone Who Knows
BOMT (The phenomenon that started it all) OIDIA (...and its follow-up) Circus (Those who lived through it know that the Britney comeback was a BIG POP CULTURE EVENT) In the Zone (TOXIC made her a true superstar of Top 40) Britney (FANS COLOSSALLY OVERRATE HOW BIG THIS ERA WAS FOR SENTIMENTAL REASONS) Femme Fatale (consistent chart success, solid tour numbers, #1 collab with Rihanna with a performance, Blackout (Gimme More and Piece of Me were hits and the album went platinum) Britney Jean (Work ***** was a hit) Glory (went nowhere on the charts, had some promo performances that were too little, too late; her VMA return that was largely seen as decent and passable but underwhelming compared to the impossible-to-meet hype, no tour, only one good music video) Link to comment
ToxicTommy
Britney era was the peak of her career. It didn't chart as well as it's predecessors but she was on top of her game in the entertainment industry and on top of the world. She had the Iconic Slave performance, forbes most powerful celebrity status, DWAD tour was HUGE compared to her prior tours. And physically she was on FIRE! OOPS! era solidified her as a pop superstar and not a one hit wonder. Her first 3 videos dominated MTV. BOMT era introduced her as the sweet girl next door and made everyone fall in love with her. Best selling album she had, biggest debut for a young starlet. ITZ era gave us the Iconic TOXIC and the KISS that will forever be cemented in pop history. Circus era was the comeback era if there ever was one. Highly talked about and gave us the best tour she ever had IMO. Blackout era was big for the wrong reasons....brakdown era but nonetheless she was pop culture sensational during this time. Femme Fetale era gave us some good top 40 songs and another world tour. Britney Jean era gave us the iconic Work ***** and VEGAS Glory... Link to comment

Hannah
It depends on what you are basing the era on tbh. Is it album sales? Money earned from touring? Overall performing? Popularity? Reputation with the GP? Music Quality?etc. Like OIDIA, for example, had Britney with a better reputation with the GP, bigger sales, and the peak of her popularity but ITZ had her as a better performer and her music had evolved. Guest Nick Jonas
Britney commercially has been tragic since 2013 (after S&S), which funnily enough is when POM started. It's been the death of her with the general public as even some of her fans. Link to comment

Maybe that person didn't live through it. She was every where. Taking over movies, music, performances, magazines, books, toys, commercials. It was a great time. I don't want that extend again but why isn't a happy medium an option. Like if she doesn't do wild stuff she isn't gonna be photographed nearly as much anymore no matter what. Link to comment

Commercially speaking she's probably generated a lot more income with POM than with FF and Circus era's combined. Link to comment

I actually think its ridiculous to think there was a bigger era than this. She was a phenomenon in the vein of Michael Jackson/Madonna from the 80s (Although her performance style was blatantly based on Janet Jackson) Link to comment
