I think Telephone is a great pop song. Maybe it is generic pop, but in a good way, not "Katy Perry style". Gaga and Beyoncé did a great job in it. 

And of course, I love Phonography. It was a better choice for Britney's voice, and the instrumental is really cool.

It was sorta common knowledge/speculation.

Telephone didn't make the cut for Circus but team B wanted to hold on to it  anyway. Gags got annoyed took it back but offered Britney the collab as a last chance. 

...And phonographs for sure. Telephone grates on me.

Telephone (Gaga's version) used to be good but I don't think it's aged well and I don't think it's that good anymore. Phonography is still really good though. So Phonography.
