Why her team thinks she can get hit only with features?

Recommended Posts

She had three big hits on "Femme Fatale" without any feature, if we count official releases and if we don't count remixes. What they need to do is to give us a good song, visuals and to promote the hell out of it. Internet promotion (Spotify playlists, itunes takeover, Apple Music, relevant youtube channels, etc.) is the most important nowadays + standard press interviews/tv appearances/tv performances. It's really desperate at this point to collaborate with pretty much everyone just to get hit song. She is not some random new name out there. Like respect her legacy and do proper job with next release.

I don't think her team is making her do the collabs, I honestly think its RCA. Both G-easy and Tinashe are from RCA, so even if Britney's song doesn't do well, it's still free promo for them. I mean, for example, I didn't know tinashe before slumber party and now I actually like her and am low-key checking for her music and videos, so the promo worked. If team B really wanted a hit, they would have used an artist with a bigger name than G-eazy or Tinashe. :forkit:

The collabs were "ok" this time, but enough is enough!

******* Larry tried to stick Miley in Brit's *** in any way possible! And it failed big time! I really think he's the one behind it all! I wouldn't be surprised if he's involved with all the artists she worked with in a way or another! He always makes her do things for his own benefits!

She listen to him, that's the main problem here tbh

I suppose it was Miley the one that insisted on doing the record, so Larry just told Britney to do it.

Out of all of the collaborations that Britney has had in her career, I think the only one I genuinely like is Me Against the Music, and even that I think it would've been better as a solo. The song is great, but it was very lackluster to be a collaboration between Britney and Madonna. Don Philip, Sabi, Pharell (I mean, he's ok, but Boys is so, Boys :ehidk:), Jamie Lynn, Miley Cyrus, Iggy Azalea, the Ying Yang twins, Danja, T.I., G-Eazy, Tinashe, and anything else I forgot, it's like :squintney: where's Pink? where's Gwen Stefani? Backstreet Boys, Christina, Beyoncé, she did collaborate with Rihanna, but they didn't even make a videoclip. I mean, it would be pointless to do a collaboration with BSB today, but back in the day why she never collaborated with the big names of each era? She has said in that interview that some people that were supposed to record with her didn't show up, so maybe that's the main reason why she refrains from working with bigger artists, but if she's gonna feature a Z-list, I think she's better off alone.

This tbh.

It's so annoying how majority of the members on here keep going on about Britney being 'irrelevant' when in actual fact Britney herself is making herself irrelevant. If she really wanted to she could get back to the level she was at but none of you seem to want to accept Britney seems happy being a popstar on a quieter level. Honestly I don't blame her for that and as fans we should all understand that esp after what she went through.

That being said its not an excuse for Britney/her team/her label's laziness when it comes to her career. She might not want to be the biggest popstar in the world anymore but that doesn't mean her image has to go to ****

She don't need nobody, better off alone. She's been in the biz long enough to be able to sell music on just her name alone. Unfortunately the GP are the problem there as they seem to be stuck in 2007 where Britney is concerned. They regard her as 'uncool' because they're more interested in Beyonce now and she's 'trendy'. Hang on... would a Britney and Beyonce collaboration work (*****)?

perfume was her last solo song and it flopped. if only the video had been its original controversial concept i think it wouldve had more momentum especially coming off work ***** and we couldve had another solo song (alien) as a third single.

i really hope the features was just a thing for rca promo this era and it ends with her next single

Forget FF era, She cant even get hit with a features nowdays, Let alone a solo one.

IMO, the main problem was LACK of PROMOTION/Weird promotion strategies.

Just look at SB, Its a great song, catchy, have a good visual, yet only peak at 80ish! Britney almost didnt promote it. No televised performance at all. Her song didnt have any life supports :bthink:

"Perfume" didn't flop bc of the video, you don't buy a song bc the singer kills someone in the MV .... she didn't promote the album, she went straight to the residency and that killed the Era .... the song is good and was written by Sia ... I guess her team wanted brit's "diamond" ala Riri .. but at this point where she doesn't sing live ... release a ballad as a single is not a good choice ..

Her Team needs to close this era with dancing Do You Wanna Come Over video as a spring hit. That's the only thing I want.

And I agree with everything written above but Britney seems careless this days. I am still amazed by quality of Glory and her body and her improvment but her promo strategy is just ****. And she doesn't even need to promote the **** out of her thang but create some concept, experience... eh she lost her passion for this, glad she's still making music, but releasing only 2 singles while many flop stars put out very more its just unacceptable
