Celebs were so much more authentic back then, everything now is so PR micro managed - I loved how open Britney was with these letters and being so open with her fans - this part makes me so sad 

I realized how much energy and love I had put into my past relationship when it was gone because I genuinely did not know what to do with myself, and it made me so sad. I confess, I was so lost. 

People don't get she is a normal person and even if the entire media/general public thought of K-Fed as a joke Britney loved him and was hurt when it ended, I think everyone thought 'Oh great she's done with that mess, she can move on easily'. Those letters are a great read, and everyone who says Britney doesn't appreciate her fans can shut up because she did write those letters to genuinely connect with fans and said how appreciative she was of fans many times.
