Candy-coated heart shapes
The jewels and furniture can go

because I have no idea what this means and I'm always trying to figure it out

I kindly think that IID's lyrics is just a little pseudo-intellectual (for some) or some term along these lines.

Finally someone who gets it! I've never understood this fandom's hate for My Baby, it's easily one of her most personal songs ever and the lyrics are just so pure and full of love, how can anyone hate that?

I find TOMH to contain her most intimate lyrics. Anyone can sing about ***. But it's particularly hard to sing about ************ in a manner both ****** and classy:

I find myself flirting with the verge of obscene

I shut myself out from the world so I can draw the blinds

and I'll teach myself to fly

Another day without a lover

Lately I've been noticin' the beautiful in me

Cringiest lyrics are more subject to debate I guess. I can't really pick on stuff from BOMT and OIDIA because she was so young and it definitely makes sense that she would sing cheesy lyrics like Dear Diary which appealed to her target audience at the time. But more current songs like CWY had no excuse to sound as strange as they did.

And as much as I love Criminal, I can't defend some of these lyrics :byebitch:

He is a loser, he's a bum, bum, bum, bum.

He lies, he bluffs, he's unreliable.

He is a sucker with a gun, gun, gun, gun.

And this type of love isn't rational, it's physical

He is a killer just for fun, fun, fun, fun
