what you guys dont get is that shakira is doing the same as britney and using features 

she used carlos vives first with la bicicleta and then she used maluma with chantaje, both are huge, specially maluma being the it boy in latin america atm, that is why she is doing reggaeton aka the most popular genre of music of latin america

she is smart and she is playing her cards well

if she released a solo song that wasnt reggaeton it wouldnt flop but it wouldnt do AS GOOD as chantaje is doing

chantaje's succes is more maluma's than shakira's
