Some curiosities about Britney from Galaxy FM (2006)

Recommended Posts

I was watching old news about Britney on a Portuguese fan site (which is no longer in operation) and one of the news (from 2006) were some curiosities that a UK radio called Galaxy FM had said at the time in a special about Britney called "Things you did not know about Britney" and most of us all know today, but there were 2 or 3 who I did not know. Here are the curiosities:

1. The name that Britney wanted to use artistically was Britney Jean (Britney Jean Spears) but JIVE said it was not very commercial.

2. Her album "Britney" was an attempt to leave the name Spears behind, so that the singer happened to be known only as Britney, but with the growth of the fame of the actress Brittany Murphy (pronounced very similarly to Britney) this idea was abandoned.

3. Britney's return single in 2001 was to be a track called "Before The Goodbye," and had already been sent to radio shows in July 2001, but was rethought when the song I'm A Slave 4 U Was recorded.

4. Their 2003 album "In The Zone" went by names like "Outrageous" and "The B Zone" before the original name ("Get In the Zone" was the name announced, then reduced simply to "In The Zone" ).

5. Britney started working on an album to follow "In The Zone" in 2004, even recording several songs, including My Prerogative. When it hurt in the leg, the album was canceled and passed to a Greatest Hits of which the songs My Prerogative and Do Somethin' were part.

6. Britney believes that her 2007 return album should be written entirely by herself despite being collaborating with several writers.

7. The song list of "In The Zone" had to be changed two months before the album was released because Britney had tried something different, giving the songs inappropriate names when compared to the lyrics: :ponderney:
01. Me Against The Beat
02. Hurry Up (Boom Boom)
03. What Goes Around (Comes Around)
04. Do not Need To Touch
05. My ***
06. Addicted To You
07. Outrageous
08. All The Things I Try To Hide
09. Take It Lower
10. Leaving To Soon
11. Brave Girl
12. Every Time

8. Britney always sings live, although sometimes the back vocals are too loud that we can not hear the singer. :quirkney:

9. Britney is considering returning to the limelight with the name "Britney Federline".

(Sorry my english)

WTF :gloria:

Too much mess to go through each one, but Before The Goodbye instead of Slave as lead single from Britney? Sweet song but nowhere near Slave's iconic level. #7 and #8 and #9 have me howling :gloria:

:oknolol:

It's not the first time that I read "Before The Goodbye" was to have been the first single...
