Don't blame Make Me video, Piece of Me or Britney Jean, because it all started with...

FF and her robotic promo.. :awks: But at least we had amazing singles that "saved" the era.  But yeah, I agree with you. It all started with FF

exactly the singles may have done well but thanks to her lack of interest on her career and appearance she damaged it and that is why it went downhill from there, she was just not delivering

if she had improved after circus to the way she is now instead of taking like 7 years to do it things would be different

So Jordan destroyed Britney's career so he had an excuse so as to turn exhale into a pop music forum? :ponderney:

This makes more sense :plzexplain: WB was never going to be a big hit either way

Exactly! :kisses2all:

You need to stfu your getting on my nerves with your constant WB hate :nyheadache:

Song is flawless and without it Britney Jean would have been a total disaster and we would have no iconic opening for Vegas.

Darhling where the **** have you been at, BJ was a total disaster!? :chershade:

It started with Circus. Yes the album was huge, singles were popular, and britney was back as a celebrity. This era brought her career back and professionally it was the right move. However the return of britney spears came too soon for her personally and emotionally then we saw the effects during and right before Femme Fatale.

The real culprit is the her team and their poor communication skills. They read this forum, and yet they insist on going radio silent instead of countering possibly disasterous rumors. They don't clarify, never hype, always leave us guessing. I think they believe this adds suspense, but this isn't the 80s... The public thrives on information and love an engaging artist who is active on social media. I

This wasn't even set in stone though. :orangu:

I agree it would have been a cool thing to do though.

Back in the day we all believed it when Jordan and TMZ confirmed it :jackk:

3 years later we are not so naïve anymore

I'd love it if Brinny revamped POM again and come January the background of WB would feature a picture of the desert she was supposed to perform at with the hashtag #FuckYouJordan :reductive:

Jordan is a scumbag, but y'all really need to stop blaming him for the desert thing.

TMZ were the ones who originally posted it. The rumor got a lot of traction in Exhale, so like with all rumors, Jordan mainpaged it. He even said in his post his source was TMZ, so to take it with a grain of salt. Hell, he himself was at the desert fully expecting a performance. We know because he was interviewed on the live stream. :lessons:

This is like when you guys tried to blame William Orbit for the "Alien" glitch even after he DRAGGED Anthony Preston on social media for being the one who did it. (Or when y'all claim Adam is still working with Britney when he jumped ship long before the Britney Jean mess...)

It started with Ooh La La.

The song/video completely deflated the hype for B8 and the lead single.  The public was thirsty for Britney music, like they always are.  That's why her lead singles since Circus have jumped to #1 (Womanizer, 3, Hold It Against Me).    Releasing that shitty movie song and video so close to B8/Work ***** stole the lead single's thunder.  And Work ***** didn't debut at #1.  People thought Ooh La La was her comeback song, it was underwhelming.  And they moved on.

I really didn't know that TMZ had started the rumor so my apologies for that. The last paragraph is unnecessary though since I know all about William Orbit dragging Will.I.Am's ***** on Twitter as well as Adam's departure which would explain a LOT of missteps from her team's counterpart :staysalty:

Well, I wasn't coming for you specifically. :gloria: I was just being salty. I'm all for hanging a ***** by his testicles as punishment, but hang him for the right reasons tbh

As far as I know Britney or team never claimed she would do a desert performance, and we all know who is responsible for the drama, meltdowns and stan card turning the era kicked off with. :sassybrit:

Jordana? :giggleney:

We're still going on about this? Get over it tbh :byebitch: Also WB would not be as praised by fans if it wasn't for the video, the song alone is her worst lead single to date

I agree that PART of the problem was BJ.

I think saying it is because of the desert performance is a bit much, though. Yes - that was a let down, but only diehard fans knew or cared.

BJ was not a good album and people were turned off, tbh. Ooh La La also wasn't a good move. And honestly... I think the promo (other than BBMA) has HURT her. People cannot get over the obvious lipping. Even longtime fans.

If Britney sang live - things would change. Oh course this isn't going to happen... so I will keep loving the real queen B for the indie/underground artist she is. Underrated for life. And honestly, the general public doesn't even know her best stuff because they don't release her best songs as singles... they just release the most commercially friendly. This is ALSO bad move. Ri Ri and Bey stopped doing that and look at how big they are...

Soo it's not just one things thats causing the problem. It's many things combined.

End analysis.
