That didn't impact on the GP, but it certainly turned off many fans who had struggled through a few disappointing years of FFT and XFactor.

Sure they never confirmed they were doing it, but they should have immediately issued a statement stating there wouldn't be a performance as damage control, instead they milked fans for views. And anyway, it SHOULD have been a performance.

The fact Britney then said on twitter that she would perform the song in the form of the video was just... no wonder that on top of the BJ mess stans had enough.

The desert performance was just a lie Jordan made up in order to attract more traffic for exhale hun, Britney and her team denied those rumors even WHILE they were going on all over, it was the fanbase who chose to believe Jordans lies :mhm: there's a reason 80% of the forum left the moment it didnt happen (they were angry with Jordan not Britney), ofc in the end we all came bk :mhm: but yeah, it was his fault

Yeah let's blame the stans when TMZ and breatheheavy.com confirmed the performance, and when her genius team decided to make a 1 month countdown and planned a 250.000$ event to announce something they already confirmed months earlier 1)I didn't miss y'all britards on here, who NEVER blame Britney for her responsibilities ngl :idkney:

1)I didn't blame the stans and it's funny because you mentioned the culprit everyone trusted blindly in your post.

3) What responsibility are you talking about? Did she say "HEY GURLS I'MPERFORMING IN A DESERT"???? :boredney:

So miss me with your Britard bullshit if you're one of those who believed there would a performance without an announcement. The high expectations/dreams you all built yourselves are the ones who caused your meltdowns but like you said I shouldn't blame them since some doubtful sources mainly fueled this.

I don't recall them denying it

I feel like dropping those meltdown screenshots just to remind you all how crazy this fanbase goes when something which wasn't officially confirmed doesn't happen. Some insane and disrepectful ****. But yeah, they take half of the blame cause a certain "source" played us.  :boredney:

They hyped everyone with such an event, everything pointed to a performance; they should have known that when making a 1 month countdown titled #AllEyesOnMe, send private invitations sent to fans to attend a 'secret event', live coverage by GMA etc everyone was thinking of her performance, especially when Larry had already confirmed before that Britney was about to do a Vegas residency

There is zero confirmation or solid proof in all you're saying, just speculation and stan dreams and you should know that hyping something/an event isn't her job but her team's so what is there to blame her for really??? :icant2:

Gorl... only internet stans were expecting a desert performance :moorangu:

Not only internet stans but all Britney fans, and it would undoubtedly have given to Work ***** the exposure it needed to the GP

It would have been huge and the drama killed the song; the fans who experienced the drama when it happened knows that the first red update on KWORB.com happened the second the event ended on BritneySpears.com :bigkiss:

That's not true, she got a few green updates after the interview before getting a red one (documented in the a-trl thread) and getting a red update is due to lack of exposure not fans melting down if that's what you're implying. :sassybrit:

The red updates were due to fans stop supporting the song on it's release day obviously, and a live performance of the song would have give the song even more green updates, I agree :staysalty:

Of course, it was literally 1% away from dethroning Miley's Wrecking ball on iTunes and with the performance things would have gone better like Work ***** going top 10.

Maybe they were wrong for hyping something big but breatheavy did the ABSOLUTE most by confirming there would be a performance and so did the fans who started insulting her and turned their backs on her. They crossed the line.

Jordan certainly added fuel to the fire and did it on purpose to get traffic, and he's to blame also, but her team didn't do any damage control neither

Ugh they are so stupid, why do they have to ruin basically everything all the time

It's sabotage at this point
