The 2017 Grammy Nominations Announced

Drake, Beyoncé, Rihanna and Adele rule the 2017 Grammys!

One of the best times in music is here! The 2017 Grammy nominations were announced this morning, Dec. 6, and they are full of surprises.

Meghan Trainor, who won Best New Artist at the Grammys in 2016, hit "CBS This Morning" to announce some of the big categories, including Record of the Year and Album of the Year. Adele and Beyoncé each scored a nomination in the Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year categories. Justin Bieber and Drake also scored a nomination in a couple of those big categories.

The full list of nominations was revealed shortly after on the GRAMMYs website, and the results come as a shock to some. Beyoncé leads the pack with nine nominations, and Drake, Rihanna, and Kanye West each received eight nominations on their own.

I was reading a thread on Rebellion (http://www.britneyspears.com.br/forum/topic/34589-atualizado-votante-da-recording-academy-grammy-prometeu-me-manter-informado-sobre-glory-na-disputa/) the same forum where an insider leaked info about the music video and saw this thread about the grammys (it was posted on October 13rd so there are some updates already) . I (roughly) translated it for you.

"Talking to one of the Grammy voting members this morning (via social media) I asked the following question to him

 

ME: I love pop music, and this year the best female pop album was #GLORY Britney Spears. I really want to see her nominated for best pop album, whom I need to talk for this to happen? Thanks! 

Voting Member:  Hey,  I'm sure Britney's album will be nominated for the Grammy's (RCA will sumbit it for consideration) and after 1st ballot I can tell you if its there on the list. ️️

ME: I'm glad you answered me, Thank you so much! If you can tell me if she went (Glory, Britney Spears) in the first cut i will be very grateful ... Have a great day and thank you again. Hug!

Voting Member: Sure! I'll let you know ! ️️Have a nice day

 

Basically he said that RCA probably pre-nominated Britney to the Grammy and after the 1st ballot (that happens on October 14th) he will inform me if Britney and Glory passed to the next phase or not. Don't ask me what social media it was neither who he was, these are confidential informations and we can't lose our exclusive informer.

 

UPDATE: According to him, Britney was pre-nominated by RCA to the 8th category (Best Pop Vocal Album). He didn't give details on other nominations, but promised to keep me informed.

UPDATE 2: The member guarantees that the Academy accepted the Glory pre-nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album and it was sent as an option for the voting members. On this phase, the voting member choose 5 albums they would like to see nominated to the category and sent their votes for counting to NARAS. The official list will only be announced on December 6th and that's when the voting members will know if their favorites were nominated.

UPDATE 3: The voting member said that what makes an artist be nominated is the Label's campaign, like everything in music, and that's why sometimes we see songs/albums that doesn't deserve to win winning. There are so many things involved, artist/producer/label/... and that on December 6th we will know if she was nominated. The voting member said "I Believe she Will"..."

I kinda believe that too... it would be a dope *** era if she did. Grammy's can kiss her white *** yes... but lets not ignore the fact that the whole world watched the grammies which is dope. Britney's being everywhere this era... we need the grammies. i WAS COUNTING ON SUPER BOWL... i was actually highly excited about the Super Bowl but since its not happening anytime soon WE ******* NEED THE GRAMMY'S

Girl this ain't the Billboard or AMA's which are almost purely based on chart success.

The Grammys are 100% based on the strength of an artist's/label's campaign to get the academy to vote for them...hence Beyoncé and her gazillion Grammys.

I won't doubt anymore insiders... there are so many nowadays and right about so many things like scrapping of MM and VMA, etc. Hope she is nominated, the album has a good mature sound and you can see she put a lot of work and artistry. Is a masterpiece. Is her only album besides ITZ that I listen shuffle without skipping
