I do too :(

i think a lot of us that were around for TRL miss it as a nostalgia effect but I do think that it was easier for newer pop artists to gain an audience

See, when I say I miss the TRL days, I mean I miss when this was how you connected with music. I don't know, tbh; I can't tell if I prefer the way we get music now -- instantly and at the touch of our fingertips -- compared to then, but it's not as important as it used to be and that does sadden me.

But I'd take Currentney on TRL. I just miss TRL. And music video countdowns, making the videos... Diary.... yeah. :brityes:

Sometimes I think I prefer how it used to be, I feel like album releases were way more exciting because they didn't leak or you couldn't really preview them in any way so you had no idea what the album was going to be like besides the first single

Our generation was truly blessed :otears:

Kids these days won't experience the magic of music like we did. Too bad for them :queenflopga:

We really were. :crying11: And I'm laughing because I'm both sad about that and also a little smug, but I also think the first is just the selfish desire to have that back, anyway. :haha:

I agree. I wish things could go back to the way they were, there's not much excitement involved in it anymore. :tifftear:

Right? The only preview you may have gotten was if you were patient enough to scan the CD underneath those 'preview centers' and put the big headphones on to listen. And those did only come in later years. But personally I would usually just grab the album I was there for and buy it only knowing what the lead single sounded like, because I had no patience.

I do like that now you can choose not to buy songs you may not like-- but at the same time, those same songs could grow on me later on. So I don't know. The old days.... we did album and single drops right.

:hype: It was my absolute favorite thing, and Britney being the princess of MTV meant she had so many to choose from. I remember when hers would premiere -- when she would do anything on MTV, to be honest -- I'd drop everything just to sit down and watch.

Same here I watch them all as soon as they came on, also the making the Super Bowl halftime just cus a her

TRL chose Baby One More Time as their most iconic video of all time. :cuteneylaugh:

I feel so much closer to Britney now than I did then. I can relate to 2016ney and understand her better tbh. And it gives me joy to see her get stronger and stronger every day.

Yeah the best thing about now is the  social media aspect  of everything how much she or any celeb  interacts with their fans even if Britney  most likely isn't the one on all her accounts we still have more  access into her personal life than back then. That's the only  benefit I see for now

Actually I was comparing her prime to now. She was too perfect then...now I can relate with her imperfections because she is just like us.

TRL was awesome!:cuteidk: They just don't make music like they use.  I miss when they counted down the top 20 and watching all the creative new music videos was the best and now everything sounds the same.  :otears:Every once in a while you find a good new song but nothing like back in the day. Making the video was cool too!:bigtime:
