I truly believe that.  Stop giving them fodder.  They want us to dislike her.  I have so many friends that when I used to say she wasn't doing good embarrassingly they would say that too and just laugh but now that I start saying she's doing amazing again, her body's its fittest, her dancing is on par with her Glory days, the music is impeccable they literally don't say a peep.  Stop giving them something to make fun of.  You, or her.  Stand behind her and stop picking her apart like they want us to do.  She's earned everything she's gotten back and as a fan it's time we start respecting her for it!

 

That is if you're even a fan anymore.

I still love her, always have... That doesn't mean that I'm delusional and that I love everything she does, I know she has her flaws and mistakes, but there are still things I love about her...

No, what I wanted to say is that I've seen Britney haters since 1999, they're everywhere and as soon as someone knows I'm a fan they start bashing her... 17 years later, they haven't changed my mind, so, it's kinda stupid to think that way :Arianabye:

You're right. I've been trashing Floptina for the past 17 years but, in the end, it was was bad music, fake artistry, and the inability to transition from teen pop star to pop legend  that killed her career. :clap1:

Sorry but the GP at this point is kinda right, and no, the GP doesn't want her to fail... actually during her meltdown, most of people were worried and wanting her to get back on track. Some of course joke, but those are just jackasses. Most of the GP remembers Britney from her old times and dearly... but isn't what she has been promoting these last years? Acting like a greatest hits artist with POM? It is what it is.

But at this point, yeah, she's recovering... but there's no denial that her only strength was her dance moves, and it's not anything close to her prime. the choreography being a mess doesn't help either. the only moment I felt her prime again was at the Billboard Awards. It's the only thing missing in my opinion, the most essential thing, and ofc, her freedom, her control. that's all I think and being realistic in my opinion, you can't demand from the GP!

This. I don't give a **** what the general population likes or dislike. I like what I like and don't like what I don't like. I've never been one to just 'go along with the crowd'.

I think the main reason that the GP wants Britney to fail is because of Beyoncé. Her fanbase is absolutely obsessed with her and they know deep inside that if Britney wants to truly come back, she has the power to outshine her. Britney has a legacy that Beyonce never had and never will. If Britney makes some mistakes today it doesn't really matter because she has proven to the world what she can do, and her iconic moments in the pop music are there to show. So the GP don't want her to succeed because they're jealous and don't want her to take her throne back. It's very noticiable because when people criticize her they always compare both: "Because Beyonce can sing while dancing" "Beyonce is the real talent" etc. >>>>>>>>>>My opinion<<<<<<<<<<<

Britney has a stronger legacy than Beyonce and that will always be pitted against Beyonce whenever people talk about who is more iconic. Beyonce is like 40 years old ( earth years, not play-play years). I don't think she will ever give an iconic performance like Satisfaction/ Oops! VMA 2000. She'll never have the chance to be a reckeless 20-something year old and come back on top like a POP QUEEN (  not a play-play 'Queen B' title).

But lets get real. The public is not jealous of Britney to the point where they are over looking Britneys awesomeness. Its just that Britney, from 2005 to NOW, isn't showing herself as a better performer than Beyonce. Britney needs to continue stepping up her performances. She's done a great job this year, but more needs to be done if you really want her compete with Beyonce.
