Selena Gomez Taking Britney Tips?

Recommended Posts

I wasn't sure if I should post this here, or in the music section, but it's been on my mind for awhile. We all know Selena has always been inspired by Britney, which even if she hasn't said it you could clearly see it throughout her pop music career. When Revival came out I immediately though of ITZney. I lived through In The Zone, and got the same vibes.

For starters both girls said they were taking a break before the album, they released the albums around the same age, they were both post-break up and trying to be sexier, Revival was a new sound for Selena like ITZ was for Britney and they were both party girls at this time.

And for the big similarity, the cancelled tour for a an illness. I don't know, I just thought Selena has been having her own In The Zone era. Thoughts?

No hate. I love both artists. :divaney:

Well now that you mention it there are quite a few similarities between the ITZ and Revival eras :verycool:

I kind of want to see if she has her own Chaotic era with taking control of career, and a no ***** attitude. She obviously cares how the media sees her, she went off the grid after the comments she made defending Taylor, and calling out Justin.

Selena hasn't even had a BOMT era, let alone an In The Zone era.

Britney hurt her leg while PERFORMING (something Selenerz can't do). Selena is in rehab for whatever.

We can skip straight past ITZ and say this is her Blackout moment. Minus the flawless album, having children, going through a divorce, the relentless media scrutiny, and pressure from the public.

I like Selena, but yeah. Let's not go too far.

Music and dance wise, I agree, they definitely aren't in the same category. ITZ's music and choreography is flaw free. I saw Selena live this year, and she doesn't even attempt to dance. I didn't expect her to though.

I find it hard to take Selana serious. She's really pretty, she's got an OK voice for pop music but I just find her a bit basic.

She doesn't grab your attention like Britney did, IMO.

What i'm trying to say is.... she's not in Britney's league. :nobitch:

:letitburn: agree agree.

I get so tired of these comparisons. Britney is an icon, a legend, while Selena, who may have some catchy songs, at the end of this will just be known as someone's friend and someone's ex, not someone who changed pop music forever :rude2me:
