Britney fans? not really, maybe exhale stans. I've been in other fanbases and when you try to joke about her "mistakes" you get kind of hated. I haven't been that long here on exhale but that was one of the things I loved about being a member so I stayed here :brityes: it was just our way to deal with all the mess.

It depends what you're referring to as "making fun."

Personally, I think it's really healthy when even a faithful fan and/or adoring stan is able to remain as objective as possible regarding the material their idol releases, because it can be constructive criticism which leads to artistic growth. For example, I genuinely believe "Glory" was such a massive improvement in contrast to "Britney Jean" due to BJ having such negative reception from the fanbase itself (especially considering BJ was marketed as an album "for the fans"). As we can see, her sales with the GP have hardly changed between these two eras, yet the reception from the fans is starkly different. :bigtime:

On the other hand, people who hide behind a screen and genuinely just bully the physical appearance, personal life choices, etc of their supposed idol are nothing but negativity and weaken the integrity of the fanbase as a whole. And, in our case, it's especially cruel to engage in actual bullying behaviors given we've seen firsthand how a vulnerable, open Britney was completely broken down by the media and public, and consequently had to become much more guarded for her own emotional well-being.:icant2:

But, there is sometimes a fine line between these two extremes of "making fun"; it just depends on what the true intention is.:mhm:
