:hahaha: Britney has  only been with RCA since the end of the Femme Fatale era. And has the least promo per era and also the least amount of singles and videos released in her entire career.

JIVE as well as RCA are part of Sony Entertainment. They are owned by the same people and most of the same people moved to RCA after JIVE disbanded.

RCA is a shitty label for everyone they manage.

I hope she goes the Frank Ocean route next time. I'd feel a lot more comfortable with my coins going straight into HER pocket than their's.

Britney and Karen Kwak forever pls :wannadie:

Can Karen also take over Larry's job while she's at it bc yikes @ that music video and VMA concept. :nothavingit:

We complained about not letting Britney do what she wanted, only three singles for ITZ, overprotected video (not the remix version), gimme more funeral scenes missing, VMAS 07 performance (yes we blamed jive not Britney), Piece of me video lack of dancing, circus era lack of promo, and many many more.

We are never satisfied until we realize that Britney isn't the same that she used to, she's not hungry for hits or successful eras, she doesn't have stage present anymore..... Etc

WE MUST TAKE the new Britney as she is now or just let her go..

I'm really sorry that I broke my ******* knee and couldn't finish the rest of what I had planned for my album "In The Zone." I should have just walked it off and kept dancing, then Outrageous would have been a proper single and I could have had more singles! Next time I break my knee doing what I love, I won't try and heal, I'll break my other knee too! :wannadie:

8 years ago, nobody complained about JIVE scrapping videos, releasing only 2 singles, and not making radio deals for Britney.

Looking back, they even released animated videos for songs they felt deserved  to be heard.

So tell me. What were fans complaining about JIVE 8 years ago , besdies "forcing Britney to sing in a false voice", which they have been doing since the year 2000? :hahaha:

Where were you 8 years ago? Everyone was dragging Jive. :nothavingit:

Yes they did complain and there were a lot of "thank God Britney left Jive" threads

JIVE unfortunately changed in 2011 after being acquired by Sony and being merged into RCA by the end of 2011 JIVE was folded into RCA with Arista records among (probably others). So technically Britney never really left her record label, and I don't even know if the same people who ran JIVE now run RCA but it seems likely that Britney didn't really change anything. I still don't know this but it seems very likely that many artists stayed with RCA because they felt a loyalty to JIVE. Then again Barry Weiss (ex CEO of JIVE) went to UMG (United Music Group) in March, 2011, so perhaps if Britney wanted to stay true to her roots she should have followed him there. BUT THEN again (oh man this post could go for a while) Barry Weiss stepped down from that position after Island Def Jam departed from UMG in 2014. SO hence and therefore, it is best that Britney is with RCA because what would have happened to her if she went to UMG, Warner Music Group (who are owned by UMG) or Capitol Records who's parent company is UMG? That's right, she would be all alone and have no one from her previous years with JIVE/Zomba. At least Britney (potentially) still has a support system in RCA as technically they merged with JIVE.

SO I REST MY CASE TBH :mj:

I think you don't know the ins and outs of what goes on behind the scenes and have no right to judge RCA or other stakeholders who work with Britney.

Your post would probably come across as pretty childish to those involved in making the big decisions which in some instances would certainly include Britney herself.

I am not saying i don't agree but all of you were HAPPY when she moved to RCA because you were all tired of Jive.

Most of her fans have to faces and change the opinion all the time (specially when things are going down).

Myah Marie vocals being all over that album(even on songs she was not credited for) and those glitches on Alien were not a surprise to RCA. They have an A&R person who constantly overseas the albums progress. Almost a month before the album was released, RCA's CEO told Billboard magazine that they were still trying to sort out "credits"( probably the Myah Marie ones.lol)  and they were still unsure which songs they were going to put on the album.

RCA CHOSE Perfume as the second single, not Britneys team. They had control over that ERA.

Actually Britney said during GMA 2013 that the album would be released Dec 3, Perfume was the next single, and before that she said it was her favorite song on the album.

She's taken more control of her career, She was the one yelling at LaChapelle (since that we could see she wasn't comfortable with the video).

She didn't promote BJ cause she was focused on Pieces of me rehearsals.

She needs to realize if she wants to continue in the music industry or just go home with her family.

I AM BRITNEY JEAN REALNESS :orangu:

I wouldn't call WB video "cheap ***". It had the 2nd highest budget in 2013. The video is iconic and the most viewed Britney video ever !!! almost 230 Million. #success.

RCA is not supporting Britney. I agree with that. But maybe because of piece of me shows that are the focus since 2013. At least we got a good album #Glory

WB was probably the most expensive music video made in 2013, bruh.

Sponsorship should've paid for it though.

A rough-timed rundown of product mentions in her video:

  • 0.11 Britney Spears perfume bottle on dressing table
  • 0.13 Car
  • 0.19 Perfume bottle again
  • 0.28 Perfume bottle
  • 0.53. Perfume
  • 1.09 Car
  • 1.42 Car
  • 1.48 Car white/or silver
  • 2.07 Planet Hollywood sign
  • 2.08 Dre Beats Pill Speakers
  • 2.12 beats again
  • 2.13 Sharks (not advertising, I just like sharks O.K.?)
  • 2.36 Planet Hollywood sign
  • 2.45 Planet Hollywood sign
  • 2.52 Planet Hollywood sign
