All I see is that her team ****** up.

The industry cares about #1 albums and values them regardless of the competition they had. I know what you mean and you're right, but it sounds like an excuse when you say it. Ultimately, it's the number that's remembered not the albums it competed against. It's just better that you get it so you don't have to argue at all.

Not sure if I was clear. :britstare:

I know it's better if the album goes number 1 but some exhalers are calling Glory a flop because it was number 3 but. Travis scott's album sold a lot less showing that Britney didn't flop at all

I agree. But what is a #1 gonna do ? Its good to brag about and boost her image, but does Britney give any **** ? I dont think so...

RCA should still care tho

Does tying Janet Jackson with 7 #1 albums not sound interesting? After 20 years in, it's about cementing your legacy like Beyoncé is doing.

Not sure what image you're talking about but her image inside of the industry would definitely have been boosted, which was a crucial thing after Britney Jean. :britstare:

After they announced the date.

It would had looked bad on her if she changed it

They know of the future releases long before that. They should have released on the safest date especially since they had no idea how much she'd sell.

There's very little room for excuses. :britstare:

We all thought she could beat them especially with the vmas and the radio interviews

they all from different record labels so i doubt they knew. It isnt like record labels tell each other when their albums come out

we were all wrong. Next time they do better :howiroll:

Had someone told you that was the content of her VMA performance, would you have expected the album to go #1?

Like what was telling the viewers that she had an album out?

Girl stop being so #ImWithThem we're here to bash their poor work :nothavingit:

:shadelaugh:

i am okay with the performance tbh. It isnt bad :quirkney:

it wasnt much of the performance that was going to make her go number 1 , it was the press she was going to recieved after appearing there after 2007

The edit... :shameless:

Casual people knew Travis, Barbra and FGL were releasing on their respective dates, and you're telling me the team of a popstar of Britney's calibre didn't know?

Girl... an album is never released blindly, they knew exactly which albums were out on which dates, even the ones we don't know of. They have access to much more info than we do.

If no research was done upon releasing an album, we'd have Drake and Beyoncé releasing on the same week. :britstare:

Why is there another one of these threads didn't we just deal with like 40 of these some days ago? Everyone wants that hit thread I guess

Billboard just announced the #1 with the official numbers now so god only knows what you're talking about. :britstare:

They had been on preorder before Britney even announced the album.

Also stop thinking anything has to be announced officially for them to know it. A Frank or Travis release isn't going to stay a secret for them, they aren't Beyoncé. :weusay:

They might've just announced it but they already posted these predictions forever ago about what he would sell and they had their meltdowns

The initial prediction for him was very close to Britney's final number (105k-110k) so I don't see why they melted down (if there were any meltdowns truly).

It's only now that we are informed that he did much less (88k) and that the #1 would have been guaranteed, so this is much more interesting now.

Yes but I mentioned them because they need to and can know what albums are released on the other weeks. If you avoid FGL and Barbra on one week, you don't know what you can go up against on another one. :britstare:

We all thought she could beat then period ! :howiroll: now we know that she needs a week that has no competition and she has to do some kind of promo
