He's using Britney for attention, like he's always done.  I mean, nobody checked for him as a solo artist until he started milking their relationship with 'Cry Me a River' and its video.  And now, almost 15 years later, look at how much press he's gotten just from indirectly mentioning her in this interview.  He's a smart guy.

I'm so glad Britney took the high road.  She's too good for this ****.

the thing is... everyone associates Justin Timberlake with Britney Spears.
                   No one really associates Britney Spears with Justin Timberlake anymore...

he will never be as famous as her and so from a financial point of view it suits him to stay comfortable in her shadow because from time to time Britney always lets out a little of the limelight and he is just one of the creatures that likes to soak in it.
