Make me + gimme more at the VMAs?

Would it be weird if after make me she performs gimme more, making the same setting as her previous performance back in 2007 to kinda redeem herself? Now that would be epic, but that would never happen since gimme more is such an old song

That would just bring up comparisons in the media to the 2007 performance, and Team B wants it buried and forgotten.

I'm sure those comparisons are without-a-doubt still going to happen...but performing Gimme More would just exacerbate it.
