I dont think shes doing the VMAs and here's why

Britney's team have been building her reputation up again by avoiding placing her at the same status as todays acts. What I mean by that? May you ask. Putting her on a show in Vegas was the first step, shes not on tour and then became an exclusive act. For three or four years already she's been doing the Billboard Music Awards every year. Fans dont notice this but she was there with Rihanna and Nicki, she was there with Pretty Girls, she was there with the medley. They are once again avoiding putting her on the same spot as her peers by choosing Billboard Awards over the VMA's, its the only award show with real prestige since she's not a real bet for the Grammys and since the VMA opened votes to the public and lost respect. I dont think they are putting all they have built over the last few years to the side. She'll be there to collect awards when she gets one or to present something, but she wont perform there. Shes above it and they know it, whether fans want to believe it or not. The VMA's are no longer part of the image they are trying to create for her.

Ok, let's not act like Britney doesn't need the promotion.

She doesn't sell records with her own name anymore. Se is not a legend, she is an icon, but she needs to promote and be in the spotlight like the rest of the current performers, so maybe she is not performing, but it would be stupid not to if she wants to sell her record and singles again.

My hopes of her performing again in the VMA stage are very low! I don't want have another Meltdown like I have with the Music Video.

But one thing is sure, Britney & Her Team only wants Money and I don't think she cancelled 2 shows and lose over 1 million of dollars for nothing.

Well, the truth is that she isn't what she used to be in the eyes of the general public. I will still love her no matter what. But she has to drop the lipsync act and provide some live vocals and killer choreography to gain any credibility from the GP. She should perform Make Me with some hot flooreography and live vocals on the verses (chorus with backtrack). And then a killer dance break with some shocking moment/gimmick and she will have a hit album and lots of publicity.

Tbh as much as I'd love her to perform at the VMAs, I hope that isn't the main reason she cancelled those two shows. I feel sorry for the people that had already bought their flights, accommodation, booked time off etc.    (unless the shows were cancelled before the tickets were released - that's a different story)
